i took my bo-ten bike "liberty" out for a 5 mile ride, after some modifications were made. hard for me to put a bike in the finished thread, because I am never finished modifying.. laced up my bendix 2-speed, and put some smaller handlebars on. sure makes the hills easier.

it was a super nice morning here in Omaha, so I thru this rat in the van and drove over the bridge into iowa for a ride. just built this one yesterday from all my spare parts from bo-ten. rides great. put 10-15 miles on it. nice large frame hawthorn. so what rat did you ride today?

the only thing about the 2-speeds that is annoying to me is sometimes or most of the time, when you brake, it shifts. no big problem, I just kick back again:D

so I stopped in at the local goodwill warehouse today(once a week thing). decided to buy a beat up old girls Schwinn for 10 bucks. got it home and looked it over. bam! bendix automatic 2-speed. thru it on my Hiawatha 3-speed frame along with some other misc. parts and instant rider. 2-speed...

I had a hoot building this bike. my starting point. my finished bike! last minute change with the bars and stem. the apes are just a whole lot more comfortable. the stem is a swan alloy. our aussie friends should know more about the stem. love this headbadge. affixed it and the mercury...

all done and moved to the finished bikes section.

its so close! need to take 1 link out of the chain. went to u pull it and got the mercury trim pieces. switched out the chain ring and rims for Murray pieces. need to also use the boiled linseed oil. hopefully my next post will be in the finished bikes section:)
