Rode a little more and the front spokes hit ever so slightly on the caliper when turning left. I could not get it to adjust out, so I researched on line and guys were putting washers behind the rotor. Did this and readjusted and it's all good now :-)

soo how much air p.s.i. are you guys running in your tires?

No brake cables and has, bleeder valve, hoses and fluid reservoir at the lever....I can see this becoming my favorite ride, it rides great

found this in an online blog where a guy built one up and weighed it at 25 lbs. with out the front tire and 36.30 with everything

So far i am happy. It has 27 speeds (3x9) and hydraulic disc brakes. Welds are nice and the only thing i really dont like are the cheap foam grips

Last month I was all set to order a Dolomite and then I decided at the last minute to order a Motobecane from bikes direct. The down side to this is they are out of stock and you can only preorder and wait untill May. Another down side (for me anyway) last year they had orange and bright green...

Yes we need to do a fat bike ride! I was a little jealous of all the fat bikes last year but i had too many doctor bills

I just figured the aluminum frame and hydraulic disc brakes was worth the extra $.. plus i have bought bikes from them before and all the bearings had grease :thumbsup:

had to dig up this old build thread to see how long i have had my Hawthorne..looks like i first did it in Dec. 2011. moved the shifter up front and added 3g pedals and flame tread tires and green wheels

put some 3 spd green wheels on my 52

A shorty fender was what i had in mind..thank you for the offer but i have a pile of fenders

new crank and chain ring and chain. also took off the saddle bag. rides alot better think i will call it done at this point maybe add a rear fender this summer painted red like the tank

also wasnt feeling the headlight on the bars..so i removed it and put on a old style spedometer. and while im this far into it im going to put a new crank and chainring on
