    Evans - Colson help

Evans bought Colson around '54, and kept the name on their badges through 55 at least, maybe 56. No known serial info for Evans. -Adam

    Base model space liner

The 'MO' frame was probably Murray badged, they made all the Space and Flight Liners, with their own models, as well as Western Flyers, etc. -Adam

    Shelby Bicycle Company question

Sounds like it's appropriately being used as wall art! You might be better off finding a frame on ebay, and building some 700c wheels for it. -Adam

Monark Silver King Identification and Questions

Monark dropped all their balloon tire models after 1954. The new middleweight line for '55 was badged Silver King. There were a couple mw Monarks also made before the company's sale to Huffy in late '57. -Adam

    The Dude abides

I believe Murray made these 58-9 Plymouth looking cars. Looks like M's on the hubcaps too. -Adam

I'd say late 50s Ross. -Adam

    Help with Monark S/N

47 on my list. The postwar frames were basically all the same. That is an aftermarket Wald chain guard though. -Adam

    J.C. Higgins Bottom Bracket

True, those were used on the 3 speed touring bikes. The '56 cruiser imports did have a 3 piece crank, but with a more typical chain ring. -Adam

Trying to I.D. this bike. Maybe an old rollfast?

It could be, which was built by Snyder. I've seen some Hawthornes with that chain ring (often also Snyder built). -Adam

What did I find in the dumpster?

SE stamp = Snyder. The dropouts are different from the typical 50s-60s, so this is likely a late 60s - early 70s. -Adam

    What did Dad have?

Welcome! The Model D came out in late 1933, at the tail end of the 'Motobike' era (1907-34ish). The frames are hard to tell apart. This one looks like a tall frame, possibly made by Mead, Schwinn, or Shelby. More info can be found at the Classic & Antique Bicycle Exchange forums. -Adam

Hiawatha bike -- no front badge??

I'd guess 55-57 from that pic. -Adam

    Old schwinn

I ran into the back of a parked Audi on a Varsity. Chipped a tooth. -Adam
