    Skiptooth chain

Ebay, or The Classic & Antique Bicycle Exchange, a.k.a. The Cabe classifieds are the two big ones. ~Adam

    Unknown Murray bike

The middle code tells what store it was for. There was a thread on the Cabe that had the breakdowns of usually X plus another letter. I know "WG-3" was Gamble's Dept stores, with the Hiawatha badge. Murray made bikes for most of 'em! ~Adam

good price for a 65' spaceliner

At least it still has it's tank and rack! I'd jump on it before it hits $150. ~Adam

    What is this bike?

Looks like a Sears badge, Murray was their main supplier since 1938! ~Adam

ID help needed, 20" girls bicycle, probably Murray?

A true Franken-bike! A 1949 Shelby frame, probable og rear wheel, with swapped brake arm, Euro or Ross fork, and '60s-70s style banana seat, shorty fenders, and ape hanger bars! If it could only talk, what a story! ~Adam

Any Info on a 1977 Iverson MonoShock?

Iverson was the second bike line launched by Jerry Steller and partner (can't remember his first name) Berkowitz. Their first line was Stelber (Stel-Ber), but they bought some really cheap European bikes, and slapped their badge on 'em. It appears they brokered a deal, importing bikes in '56 for...

    Unknown Frames

Huffy continued making that frame, with the rear facing dropouts, through 1958! ~Adam

    1962 Schwinn

Actually, Schwinn changed the frame design in mid '61. So there ARE Tornados, Flying Stars, and Skippers with the same frame, with later '61 serials. The Typhoon replaced the Tornado and FS as base model in the lineup. The Skipper continued for a year or so with the regular canti frame. ~Adam

    Columbia Goodyear Hi-Way Patrol

They didn't have the springer after the '50s. Median value $300; ~Adam

Need help dating a President by Scheuer...

It's always interesting to see these threads of yore! Sometimes I'm still right, others I've learned more, like Bauer was it's own company, not a badge of S/D/P. I'll add my Royce Union pic again, post photo bucket. ~Adam

    Men’s cruiser frame

These Euro bikes are tough to tell apart! Steyr/Daimler/Puch made some, Bauer was another, plus a few really obscure companies. I think the Euro 3 piece cranksets are all fairly similar. Most imports had badges like Black Knight, Parkleigh, President, Royce Union, etc. My RU:

    Question abColumbia Speed Liner ???

These bikes were the first response to declining sales in the early '50s. Kids had discovered 3 speed Euro touring bikes, and loved how easy they were to ride, compared to American heavy ballooners. These were quickly replaced by new middleweight lines. -Adam

Year/ model identification Ward Hawthorne bicycle

You need to make a new post, this one is old! Make sure to post a chainguard side pic of the whole bike, and any badge or serial #'s.

    What year? Is my hawthorne

The reverse year coding started during 1940, so earlier than that.

    Help Identifying Seats

Schwinns usually featured Mesinger seats, on their upper end models. The basic bikes, especially 20" and 24", got "whatever"! At least prior to the debut of the "S" seat! Tough ID if they didn't stamp their name on the pan! ~Adam

Texas Ranger & Rangerette - Collectable?

I had to see what I said 10 years ago, sometimes it shows I still had much to learn! But in this case, I have to agree with myself! 24" versions of the same bike are going to be less in demand than a 26" version. ~Adam

    Murray Monterey Identification

There wouldn't be much of a difference between those years, except most of the '84s have olympic themed graphics that year, because they were a sponsor.

    1948 Columbia

Classic Frankenbike! Chain ring is Huffman, guard and fenders are Wald, stem is an import. Build a rat, or find a '40s girls' Columbia for a parts donor!

Need help identifying year of Western "Galaxy" Flyer

FYI, Murray frames had the pointy dropouts until production moved overseas in the late '90s

    Racer vs Speedster

Identical frames if they're the same size. Speedster was available with the small, curved tube frame, don't think the Racer ever was. ~Adam
