This was my soap box derby car from around 25 years ago. It's been at a friend of the family's house for a long while, let their boys use it once me and my brother got too big for it. Got it back today though :cool:

Pretty sure I was running a 52t with mine at first, went to 44t and was happier when a hill showed up. Would have to look again at what was on the rear but I'm guessing an 18t on back.

Digging the bike but not the decal so much. The prismy look belongs on something else if you ask me. Would be cool with "JUNK" brush painted on little rascals style in my mind though. But the decal isnt enough to scare me away from loving it either ;)

Your Tick bars are sweet !!! Great looking bike to throw them on too !!! Bought a pair of ticks bars second hand, mine are insanely wide though for me as is, but I bet I could dent a garbage truck with them as I rode by if I wanted to. :D

and once you have your erd, you can measure from the spoke hole to the wheel lip, add it twice to your erd and it will be close enough to figure out your tire iso #

just pick up a dowel rod and run it through, mark it and measure it. There's your erd unless you have double wall rims. Add for nipple height if you like ... or not. 2mm per nipple (4mm total) is what i would add if it were me. If it comes out to an odd number spoke length I usually round it...

Obviously looks like you could go bigger but it looks fine to me as-is. Some of the best riding bikes I've been on are the old English 3 speeds with the same size though that tire tread looks a bit meatier. If it rides nice I would keep it that way :)
