Thanks, those budget racks are pretty common among the BMX crowd. Cost about $4 to make. 4 T's, 8 elbows and a 6' piece of 3/4" pipe. I've seen a couple variations of them too, works great but I imagine a double rack would be even sturdier. That one was built for bigger bikes so you can tell...

Got a Mongoose from the factory direct store for my boy the other day, I had one as a kid and loved it. The brakes on these are terrible though and you bang your ankles on the pegs. Ton's of fun though aside from that.

Been raining off and on all weekend so no painting yet ... got bored so I went ahead and threw the shoestring streamers together. Drug the ends through some modeling cement so the edges will hold.

Don't know about lagunas, but im looking for trx forks for a build if you're needing to get rid of them.

The arcade was definitely one of a kind, and you can tell the bike was originally styled after a gusseted frame with whitewalls at first on the console. Bike is ready for paint, after that, I need to steal my wife's sewing machine lol

Local salvage yard has a similar (but far from exact) tandem setup, their's was converted to belt drive to help the driveline twist to accomodate.

I greased it and threw it back together already, if it squeaks I will hit it with some oil instead ;) Thanks for the tip.

Spent some time cleaning the wheels up today. Wheels are faded a bit, hit the front with some WD40 to darken it up. I've got a feeling the WD bath will look fine for the short term but a dye job would probably be best in the end. Hub guts cleaned up easy enough. More project pieces

Like the color ! Just use a chain breaker to lock that chain in place on there.

The seat does have a BIG look to it right now. With the sheet metal in place and the right bars on it I think it might even the looks out a bit. I'm just here to watch though, still loving this whole thing :cool:
