    Made up to 1961 I believe. If it was me, Id ask $200 and be happy with $150. Looks like it would just need grips to be all original. I think the truss rods are add ons from another bike though. Nice looking 24" for sure !!!

    Middleweight or balloon frame?

    balloon frames are wider where the tire passes through the frame/fork. A balloon tire (2.125) on a typical rim usually has no trouble fitting in a middleweight frame/fork. Using balloon fenders on a middleweight frame isn't easy though. trfindley.com pics middleweight balloon / heavyweight

    I was just going to keep it suspenseful by putting a garbage bag over my build until the very end.... how can I compete with "little effort and low expectations" though, it's like you're using my own skillz against me when you put it like that.

    I remember riding my bike to grade school in the late 80's, if you had a note you could ride your bike to Hardee's at lunch time to eat. In the 90's we moved in town about 8 blocks from school ... just walked then. I don't know if I'm just an over-protective parent or if there are just more...

    My dad used to have a 64 Dart with the push button trans. Cool car, never been a VW guy but I wouldnt complain about either one myself :)
