Finally got a pre war ride

New thoughts - trimmed a rear fender to fit the stays so it can hang down below them. I think I'm going bare metal with black rims and maybe leave the fender blue and pick up that color in the grips :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Discovered that the fork IS original to the bike! Now I just need the truss rod brackets. Anyone have any '36 colson parts?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hot Rod Spaceliner - by B4C

Sounds cool for sure!! Question #1 What year is your truck and what have you done to it? Here's a couple thoughts photo inspiration wise... I LOVE "Roth-style" rods to start with. Maybe take the gold as the main color (could be crazy cool on a liner frame IMO) and accent that with white and...

Finally got a pre war ride

SO... this is interesting. I pulled the head badge to inspect / adjust it and discovered a letter "A" stamped upside down on the front of the head tube, right in the center behind the badge. I'm just starting to learn about Colsons... anyone know what this stamp was for?

I know... I have never seen another like it. LOVE the fact that it's from an Indianapolis store as well. Very little turns up on a google search of "Hoffman Arrow". Wondering how rare these may be.

Not sure of my direction yet - most likely going more resto and less rod on this one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Finally got a pre war ride

Marked this off my list yesterday. Picked up a 1936 Hoffman Arrow. It's a '36 Colson SWB made for Hoffman Sporting Goods here in Indianapolis. Staring to look for the correct truss forks and other items. Let me know if you've got something. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Got the LED set up ready to go - no modification to the factory components and the headlights are BRIGHT :) I have them on a switch to turn on the left or right headlight and the tail light separately. Hopefully will have them mounted tomorrow and get some pics. [emoji1360] Now back to finishing...

It's about 1/2" out but both legs are exactly the same amount out so I'm leaving it alone! I don't want to risk cracking anything for only 1/2". She rides great tho :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I for sure won't modify any of the original parts. I always keep the "as built" pieces labeled for "re-installation" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I LOVE the gold - going to get some new red grips and possible powder coat the rims red as well. Then maybe recover the seat in a silver flake vinyl. Traditional hot rod style :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
