Here's an early 1900`s Miami Racer with a similar sized chainring...

Thanks. I have tomorrow off, so hoping to pick up some 7/8" solid round stock to make a laid back seatpost and install an old NOS Bendix shifter.

Cleaned up the chrome with some oxalic acid,lubed up the chain,installed a Brooks 66.

Switched up a couple of the wheels I ordered during Electra's recent blowout and ended up with a gold 3spd wheelset with new older QuickBricks.

Picked up these Huffman trussed forks here a while ago. Look like OG paint, so not gonna strip & coat. Just need to clean them up a little & apply some Flitz to bring out the paint a bit more.

Sent the frame & forks out to be media blasted & powdercoated to the same spot I had the wheels on my Fairlane done. I get a pretty good deal since they do it on the side. Pretty much throw my parts in when another order of the same color comes in. Decided to clean up the frame a bit buy...

Picked this up off CL cheap a couple months ago. It's been sitting for while outside while I decided what to do with it.

At first I was gonna look for a chainguard for this, but decided to minimize it & cut off both the guard & kickstand mounts. Sent it out to be media blasted a week ago, then had it powdercoated black. I wasn't sure whether I was going to use the original forks of the Huffman ones I had lying...

I'm not sure why I picked this up off my local CL, but it was cheap,just a couple miles away & I've always liked these frames for some reason. I kinda want to strip it,repaint it,throw a 40's trussed fork I picked up and a newly aquired Electra multi speed wheelset. I know nothing about these...

Mike, I used heavy duty paint stripper to get the bulk off the powder coating off and finished the stripping by scrubbing them down with methylene chloride. I then wet sanded them with 400 followed by 800 grit wet/dry sandpaper. The finish buffing was done using medium then fine rouge on a 4"...

They look great polished! That's what I'm hoping to do. I gotta learn to lace & true pretty soon. Otherwise this deal might not be so great for me. What method did you use to strip/polish if you don't mind my asking??

Yeah, I picked up a front/rear bare 7spd wheel set too. I'll have a gold 3spd set, cream 3spd and cream single spd. I'll have blue rim left over that needs to be stripped to match the other rear bare 7spd wheel.

Does anyone know if these rims are painted or powdercoated? Any idea what the best way to strip one might be? Thanks.
