More About Particular Bike in Latest Kickstand Mag???

In the latest, and VERY much anticipated issue of Kickstand, on page 8 next to the ugly guy (just kidding Cruisehard! ) is the bike called the 'Firebike Fluid'. Is that bike featured here on Ratrod anywhere? I would like to see a LOT more of it. PS, I want one of those frames :D :?: :D

Uhhh man, nice bike! Don't change a thing! (except for the handlebars) That badge is PERRRRRFECT! Oh and scrounge some truss rods for the fork. Heck, I'd be interested in buying it.

How much should a bike shop cost?

Merk pretty much hit it on the head here.... You're right to first break it down to the nuts and bolts of things, which is a very simple calculation, but beyond that, well, that's where things get tricky. It starts with any person serious about buying the business taking a look at their books...

Couple of PreWars for the days haul

Simmons was a hardware company based in St. Louis and was purchased by Shapleigh in 1940, so the bike is most probably a late-30's. The brand Delmar was applied to a wide range of Simmons products, not strictly bicycles. One of the major thoroughfares in downtown STL is 'Delmar', Simmons was...

    feel and frame geometry, overthinking

Over at Bikeforums you could literally read yourself to death on the subject. When I sell a bike, regardless of the style there's a basic routine I follow for adjusting it well to its new owner, but this often isn't what's popular, especially around here with extremely low slung seats being the...

    Dyno

Good looking bike! The Dyno frames are BIG and can accommodate an adult much better than our classic bikes.

    29er with 37.25" standover!

Uggg, those tall frames are so hideous, and I don't think they ride well (Rivendell would vehemently disagree). Frame design and wheel size needs a complete enema for big bikes. There's enough tall riders out there that they could develop a 750c wheel/tire size and make nice bike frames in the...

Request some Schooling on Vintage Weinmann/Schwinn facts

Is this because they started their spoke layout/install at the spoke hole immediately to the left or right of the valve stem hole???? I learned by starting the spoke layout that way and every wheel I build has the valve stem pinched in that tight gap/sharp angle of spokes. It seems wrong to me...

    so.....

Illinois sure has cornered this thread! We've all seen these "motorbikes" on CL up and down the entire state. Some are mildly cool, others are just stupid. I see a lot of $100 Walmart bikes being given a $100 Chinese motor and the asking prices are always $450-$500. Ummmm, no.

    late model retro iron

YES! This ^ is exactly what I was thinking. As garish as they are, I really like the colors, and with the painted fenders the bike is really more reminiscent of the B6 (predecessor to the Phantom). I got all excited not 10 minutes ago when I saw a local CL advert "Schwinn Cruiser Six", opened...
