Re: ►► OFFICIAL 2011 AUCTION BIKE IS ON THE BLOCK ◄◄ You know, the bike I got that Udallcustombikes put together and I PAID $1.00 FOR IT ( I won it in a raffle at the MW Bikefest a couple of months ago), is one great ride. Because I only PAID $1.00 that gives me some xtra $$ to throw at the...

Need help with decorating bike with cardboard...

I have used cardboard to make a few parade and theme bikes. We use LOTS of contact glue to layer cardboard and make shapes, and use LOTS of zip ties to attach the cardbord to the frames. On some Ive used wood and U-bolts to attach the cardboard or very thin plywood to the bike. Ive used...

    Gallery of Bare Metal Bikes

Here are my bare metal bikes, that I built several years ago, out of aluminum honeycomb composite, there is no tube frame in these bikes. They have never been painted, although they have had stuff glued to them, but acetone and a jitterbug (orbital sander) cleans them up. the Alumasled the...

Colson steer from the rear Tandem

Well here it is. Its a little ruff and missing some stuff. But its a great start for a rat bike, you know Im not much for restoring things to original. Its missing the rear steering linkage and the rear steer sprocket has been spot welded so it does not turn, but I think a little work with the...

    Colson Tandem

Guess what I found in Garnett on the way home from Lawerence today.. a Colson sftr tandem. We like to take the long way home and stop at antique shops. But we were in the car, so Sunday we are making a bonzi run to pick it up in the van. Its not as nice as Ratfink1962s, but for the $$ its a good...

CAN PEOPLE PLEASE JUDGE MY TALL BIKE?

Like MagicRat said. I like to see tall bikes ridden, but its to far for me to fall. I likem low to the ground, not so far to fall.

    2 Speed Kickbacks?

Love those 2 speed kickbacks. My first was on my Sting Ray back in the mid 1960s, It was the fastest bike in the neighborhood because of the holeshot of the low gear. When I got to playing with bikes again about seven years ago, I started picking 2 speed KBs (most were found on Schwinn Breeze...

    Low seats on bikes

Hey Popcorn, I use solid rod and bend it cold. Its easy (you need a long cheater pipe and something very strong to hold the rod, I use a hole in the concrete in my back yard) and cheap (about $15 can make 2 or 3 bent seat posts). You might have to change your seat clamp and maybe shim the seat...

    Low seats on bikes

I like the seats low on my bikes. Being 6'1" tall the seat would be up high on the bike, so to keep the seat lower I set myself back to get more leg room. So I bend seat posts for them, even Crazy Mae at 5'4" wants her bikes to have the seat set low and back. Heres pics of the bikes I took to...

    Problem with Hair Pin Seat

Mine is an old one of unknown origin, the leather embossing of the manufacturer is unreadable. My suggestion is move the clamp back as far as possible in the seat frame and use a grade 8 bolt. heres mine on the Beerbike
