PedalCar Wagon Wheel Barrow buildoff discussion

I wish I would have seen this earlier I might have tried to join in the fun on this one. I've had an old radio flyer tub bumming around my garage for a few years that I had just started working on. I was just building something for the kids to mess around with. It wasn't going to be anything...

Recent Acquisition Old Beach Cruisers, Diamond Back and Peugeot

Thanks for the replies! You guys are so knowledgeable, this is exactly why I come here for answers. I honestly didn't realize certain wheels could be that desirable. I'll have to take a closer look at them again when I get home. Is there any easy way to determine what kind of wheels they might...

Recent Acquisition Old Beach Cruisers, Diamond Back and Peugeot

Not sure why I couldn't get these to post before. But as you can see they are both a bit rough. I would love to clean one of them up and make it into a cool cruiser but I really don't know anything about either of them. Also the Diamond Back came with that rack so I just left it on for now.

Recent Acquisition Old Beach Cruisers, Diamond Back and Peugeot

I recently picked up these two beach cruisers that someone was pitching. One is a Diamond Back "Sand Streak" and the other one is a Peugeot "Pipeline" I honestly dont need both of them so I was thinking about fixing one of them up to keep for myself and letting the other go as-is... or just...

    The backwards bike

That was really cool. I loved the part at the end where for a while he just couldn't ride a normal bike anymore because he has forced his brain to learn a new way of riding. It may sound random but this distinctly reminded me of the first time I tried to ride one of those little razor...

    Craigslist nightmares and dreams...

Hmmm.. So that's basically what my bike would look like if it were black. It's not bad but I think I'll stick with OD Green all the same.

    Rat Rod Truck

Lol! That's one way to do it.

    Rat Rod Truck

Jack shafts are crazy easy to build. The one that I made for my big green chopper is just a front hub with a small rear sprocket welded to each side. and if you need to make it wider just cut it in half and weld in a piece of tubing to make it the needed width. But I just wanted to say what a...

    The Land Yacht

Haha, that is awesome! I have an irrational desire to own something like this but capable of cruising at interstate speeds. I can just imagine the looks that I would get driving it to work. There is definitely something wrong with me.

    Low 'N Ratty

That demon on the back is fantastic. The tongue absolutely just makes it! I love it!

    FINISHED!! First Build- Chopper/cruiser

Looks really good! Especially for your first build. You did a great job. That frame definitely has some cool and unique lines to it. Do you have any other plans for it? After all everyone knows that a project is never truly finished.

What do do with a stock Dolomite

I just have to say that land yacht is awesome. Do you have a build thread for it somewhere else on the web? I would love to find out more about it. As far as the Dolomite goes I would probably grab a cheap cruiser frame and cut and work the dolomite running gear onto it.

    Craigslist nightmares and dreams...

Shoot I only paid $600 for my truck which has been running great for years.

    Craigslist nightmares and dreams...

Ok they almost got me with this one. I thought it was a typical OCC Chopper at first for $990!! Apparently this is not the typical factory chopper though and I have never seen this version before. But I still sincerely doubt that it is worth what they are asking...

(BOTEN) "OUTLAW" ...Withdrawn from the build-off...

Awesome! That single sided rear is not just functional but very elegant looking also. The idea to use the BMX 3 piece crank makes a lot of sense. This bike is going to be amazing.

(BOTEN) "OUTLAW" ...Withdrawn from the build-off...

Looks awesome Luke! seeing it laid out that way with the actual components gives a really good idea of how it is going to look when it is completed. Also I just noticed that I think that is the same headlight that I used on my bike too. I remember it was cheap but I thought it looked good with...

(BOTEN) "OUTLAW" ...Withdrawn from the build-off...

Sounds like progress to me! Just out of curiosity, what kind of leaf spring are you using. I assume one from a car would be far too stiff to work in this application.

    The Steamroller (BOX)

Thanks! Yeah I really want to finish it but I still need to work out a solid fork design and the small matter of just finding the time to work on it.

    The Steamroller (BOX)

I really like the idea of doing the sideways fork for the front but do you know how you are planning on connecting it at the top? Just curious because we tossed around a twin tube fork design too but we never really came up with anything that we were happy with for attaching it to the head tube.

    The Steamroller (BOX)

In the first pic the frame in the background belongs to my big green military chopper. This was going to be a second bike of similar design but with the afore mentioned single sided frame and fork. This was the idea... Sorry the picture is so small, I can't find the original picture only...
