    Prewar Roadmaster Delivery

Unfortunately, I have already stripped this thing down and removed the paint. I wish I had a decent before pic. I might be able to come up with one sometime throughout the build though. It was covered in lots of green house paint. Underneath that, the original paint was pretty much gone. I did...

    Prewar/early postwar 20" fender

I'll try to get a pic up tomorrow. They are round, not peaked, and heavier gauge than most fenders. Probably almost twice as thick. I could use rounded or peaked though. The rear needs replaced but I have rounded or peaked that will match. It is a Roadmaster cycle truck, so it is 26" rear and...

    Prewar/early postwar 20" fender

I can't really tell what kind of profile that has. Is it round or are the sides kind of flat? If that makes sense...

    Prewar/early postwar 20" fender

I need a 20" front fender for a project. Could possibly cut down a rear if that is all you have. It needs to be the heavier gauge like used in the 30's-40's. With or without braces is fine. It will get painted, so paint doesn't matter. Rust is fine, but needs to be fairly straight. Can buy or...

October 21st, First annual vintage bicycle swap meet and show at Ace Speedway in Elon North Carolina

This was a good time. I didn't take pics, but some folks did, and hopefully they can post them here. There are some on the cabe already. I'm excited for the next one.

    Swingbike frames

I have three swingbikes. One is an original, and two are home made. The original has the springs, and my others do not. I absolutely hate riding with the springs. Without them you can do so much more. I like to throw one leg over the frame and catch the pedal so I can get the seat parallel to...

    Apollos and Stallion

Wow! I wish either of mine were that nice.

    Apollos and Stallion

I wish these were in a little better condition. But I rarely see them in person either. The fact that all 3 seats are in good shape probably makes them worth having . Two have good sissy bars, and for the most part, the components are all in pretty good shape.

    Apollos and Stallion

Yeah, I kind of go through phases. I always like prewar stuff the most, but sometimes things catch my eye and I have to have them. At least for a little while.

    Apollos and Stallion

I posted the Speedway Special already that I got as part of a package deal for these bikes. Figured I'd go ahead and post these up, too. 3 Apollos, 2 are 5-spd, 1 single-speed, and a Mattel Stallion in pretty good shape. I'm not a huge muscle-bike guy, but I liked these for some reason.

    Speedway Special

I picked this up dirt cheap as part of a deal for 3 Ross Apollos and a nice Mattel Stallion. It was spray bombed black, and in the worst way. Basically, everything was painted including the chainring, cranks, clad rims... everything. I thought it might be ok for parts. I decided to clean off...

    Craigslist nightmares and dreams...

https://winstonsalem.craigslist.org/bik/6057890315.html In past years I have posted this guy's ad on this thread. He started out at $325 on CL at least 14 years ago, as it was on CL when I first moved here that long ago. It has been "reduced" to $275  I really respect the time and...

Looks like a great deal. I like the little bit of green on the red.

Awesome looking bike. Great shape and reminds me a little of the old Mike Dominguez DB I used to ride

    Y'all eat hot peppers?

Ring-burn!!?? :21: :agree: I can't just eat whole peppers when it's the crazy stuff. But I really like the flavor of ghost peppers, so I buy ghost pepper sauces for sammiches and such. And I cook with ghosts and dried adobos. I had a carolina reaper sauce at work a few days ago that was great...

Ratty Higgins Colorflow project $25 PENDING LOCAL PICKUP

Sorry, there was a previous line of folks wanting the fork. But someone who originally agreed to pick the bike up in person is indeed coming to get it. Apologies to everyone for not placing the ad as "pending". I did not receive their correspondence, and assumed the deal was off. I take...

    ROAD BIKES LETS SEE EM

I've got this 87 Schwinn Prelude in ice pink. This thing is crazy fast! I got on it after not having been on a road bike in years. Ridiculous

Ratty Higgins Colorflow project $25 PENDING LOCAL PICKUP

So far. Somebody mentioned getting it, but haven't heard back from them. I'm off work today, and two more days. Really it needs to be gone by then. Come see Mayberry, folks! Illustrious boyhood home of Andy Griffith, and some of the best views of closed down, dilapidated textile mills. ***...
