    1885 Columbia Light Roadster Highwheeler

You haven't earned it til you pull ten miles on it:bigboss: That thing is awesome though

    Show Us Your First Car

My first was a cruddy white 1980 chevy monza hatchback. But a tree fell on it before I could get it on the road. So I got a 1974 Chrysler New Yorker. Burgundy with white top, white leather interior, 440/727, fender skirts, etc. Best $700 I ever spent. The previous owner had hit a deer and busted...

What do you think a fair price would be?

It's a 2-way street. On one hand it's AWESOME. On the other, there's a ton of rust, and the welded fork, and... oh yeah, rust. What would the parts cost if separated? I'm not up to speed on muscle stuff either, so without specific knowledge of this particular bike, I see a $60 frame, a $20...

    abandoned PA turnpike

I'd love to ride that. 13 miles isn't bad, and my old 6v GE lantern bulb would have it lit up as bright as headlights. But it's so far away from me:cry:

    More junk!?

So I was riding by an antique shop near my house and noticed these sitting out front. The owner of the shop usually has very high prices, but I stopped to check anyway. Picked up these postwars for not much money. Men's is a roadmaster. Very solid bike. But repainted, etc. I might try getting...

    Swingbikes are back!

$449 isn't terrible if they are decent. But if they don't meet their mark for startup pledges, then they can't manufacture. What does your money get you if they never produce a bike?

Just the tip of the iceberg...

Thanks. I've owned a couple and really love those frames. I sold my Mach 1 24/20 last year but I still have an orange Mach 5 20/16 frame that is a frankenstein I still ride quite a bit.

    Swingbikes are back!

I have a feeling they will be ridiculously priced. Also, they've enhanced the swingability? It worked pretty good already. OH, and that front fork looks to be raked a bit too far out. I have built a couple that way and they don't seem to handle as well. The rear might be okay but honestly may be...

Any pics of the mach 5?

    Lookin for a RR member

He's been a member for over a year, so it isn't the typical, "all jacked up for three days on bikes and then done" people we get so often. Many people don't have time to be on here so often. I recently didn't log in for over a week. I'm sure he'll be back if everything is ok.

    I am the Ninja.

From the flyer, I see that legitimate swords and throwing stars are encouraged. Everyone involved be careful. I'd be there if it weren't on the opposite side of the country.

    What the heck are these?

    Any stamping on the rims?

    Fender Ornament Make?

No problem. I'm not 100% sure on this next part, but I'm pretty sure they were mainly used on the "space" bikes. Like ones titled Sonic Flite, Meteor Flite, etc.

    Fender Ornament Make?

Murray, late 50's-early 60's I think. Would have been chromed

    1939 Goodyear Colson.

I had an original ladies colson in green/red with green rims and it looked great. A resto repaint in those colors would be too festive, but with patina they look nice

Doing this for a friend of mine ...

My guess would be late 60's-early 70's, on sight. The theory posted on musclebikeforums is that M serials are 1970, so it fits. Obviously as an AMF, it is basically a budget model Roadmaster (which was a budget brand anyways). Westpoint was not a famous model, so there isn't any info out there...

    Trexlertown 10/2-10/4...3 days

I would love to go just because I've never been to it. I'm curious though, are the deals that good? With the exposure and number of buyers that attend, I would imagine it to be a sellers' market with the prices a bit inflated. Not that it matters, 7 hours one way in my truck is risky

    1939 Goodyear Colson.

I would leave the rims red. Then do a green/red color combo repaint but distressed to fake that patina. I'm about to start a similar project, and if I can fake the funk as good as I did on the repro tank for my 39 Westfield, I will be happy.

Can anyone help to identify the bike frame

Might get more hits in the I.D. section. Likely a mid-30's rollfast or hawthorne. To properly I.D. it might require closer photos of the dropouts and maybe some pics of the rear triangle with all of the stuff removed.
