Not quite a bicycle, but it is motorized... And crusty

Nope, certainly not it's a 70cc smoker for sure. She runs pretty good for what it is. The circuit pipe on it and the high compression head gives it that nice sound. I will see about getting a driving video and I will see what I can do about the video link. Might have to upload to YouTube. Sent...

Not quite a bicycle, but it is motorized... And crusty

I have a running video as promised. I will get a few more. The red Honda Hobbit is my girlfriend's new toy. It got a few engine mods since this video as well. I can upload some better pics and a new video of that if you guys want. [emoji1]...

Back in the saddle with this "sun racer"

The 0000 steel wool and wd40 treatment is working nicely. The fenders are a bit crustier than expected, but still solid and cleaning nicely. It's all coming apart nicely as well. Thank God they kept it in the barn all those years. With a stroke of luck I found that the years of used motor...

Back in the saddle with this "sun racer"

I wouldn't dare strip it. Its like a snapshot of the past. All the years and miles this thing has seen. Those scars and patina can't be recreated. As for your rollfast I'm pretty sure it the exact same frame. Keep it original! I dig it, man! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Back in the saddle with this "sun racer"

I've been using 0000 steel wool and wd40 and it's been working great! I'm not a fan of the full rusted look either, the wear is something I do like. Your bike is awesome! Snyder built bikes are some of my favorite! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Back in the saddle with this "sun racer"

Well, I got some info from the cabe as to deciphering the number on the bb to figure the year. It reads 84SN which I guess if you swap the two numbers you get the year. This only works for 1940 and up, I guess. So with that I can guess it's a 1948 Snyder built bike. It needs spokes, tires...

Back in the saddle with this "sun racer"

Just asked my parent's next door neighbors of more than 60 years if they still had old bike I remembered from my childhood. Turns out they did! My mom got me some pictures of it and I finally looked at it today. The lady who sold it to me used to baby sit me as a child. I remember climbing in...

    LET'S SEE THOSE ROLLFAST!!!!

It's not quite finished yet. Mash up of a 37 frame 50s Murray fork a custom tank and a bunch of other stuff. Gonna do some fender stripes and paint the tank. I haven't seen another frame quite like this one either Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Not quite a bicycle, but it is motorized... And crusty

Just a quick update. I added some Era correct mirrors, custom chain guards, a custom rear mud guard/registration tag holder, a front mud guard, an ignition switch, and a new fork lock! Now I just need a warm day to ride! [emoji41] Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Not quite a bicycle, but it is motorized... And crusty

Thanks man! The fenders are off of a 78 swinger. I had issues with spark because they use the horn as an external ignition ground and it uses a reverse horn switch that is closed when it's not depressed. Im just using that wire as an ignition switch with a key and the hot side of the lighting...

It's the salt on the roads and parking lot that worries me. The road commission likes to dump it on regardless if it's needed or not. If it rains hard for a few days and dries up I will for sure! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Not quite a bicycle, but it is motorized... And crusty

Well, after a lot of work and patience it's all finished! I added a chrome faring which I painted to match the tank. I can't wait till spring to break this thing in! Gotta have the pony! Thanks everyone for keeping track of this one I will post a video of it running as soon as the...

Not quite a bicycle, but it is motorized... And crusty

Well I spent the past few weeks tearing it down and cleaning it up. I hit it hard with soap, water, bar keepers friend, and this swanky new rust dissolver from wd-40 which works like a charm! (I may post a thread on it) I bought some lower wide bars and a sweet banana seat+sissy bar! Bicycle...

    1937 Rollfast Motobike (unnamed project)

Hey guys! It's been a while and I'm sorry... I just recently left my job of 7 years and moved to the city with my girlfriend to start fresh so life has been crazy for me. The rollfast project is nearly finished but not how I wanted it to be. I will get some pics next time I'm at my parents house...

Not quite a bicycle, but it is motorized... And crusty

Well amiss the other gifts I got this Christmas this one is my favorite by far. My brother asked me to head out to the garage at my parents farm after everyone opened gifts and said you still have one more to open. I walked out and there was a blanket with a bow draped over it. I took it off and...

Awesome bike collection in Mount clemens

While browsing Craigslist last week an ad caught my eye about a gentlemen who had tons of vintage bicycle parts for sale. My girlfriend and I happened to be in the area and I decided to give him a call to inquire about headlights. He said to come on over so we found the exit and 3 miles later we...
