Came acrossed a guy selling a Schwinn Supreme 6 speed in very good condition for $85. I think I'll score.

The guy finally got back to me. He's holding at $250 on this bike. I offered him $50 for the bike and he responded $50 for the wheels. The bike has been listed for over 3 months on offer up. Best of luck to him.

I've been keeping an eye out for an older steel Schwinn. Is this bike worth getting to turn into a klunker? Is $100-125 too much to spend for this bike?

Cheers Matti! This Klunker thing is all new to me. I've always had an affinity for old bikes, especially bmx. Klunkers have become my new favourite. I've got some reading to do!

Thanks for the quick replies. I think I will steer clear. I'm looking to build a klunker for single track use, minor curb hopping, jumping, and neighborhood shenanigans. I will keep an eye out for an old steel schwinn or the like. Is there a thread on here that talks about different frames...
