Also took sandpaper to the chrome as it looked too ‘nice’ compared to the rest. I started out wanting this to be totally DIY ‘punk rock’ and have got a little lost along the way. Impending deadline has focused my mind and I’m going to go for it now…

Baaad (looong(stressful)) .. day at work. Just a few beers and decided to get the (now) black saddle on the mount. Also got the seat to the height I want with some gentle persuasion… It’s a solid ride! Really comfy and the gearing (more luck than judgement) is lovely. :)

Plan is to have them running on the same side. I have another chain ring from the 21 speed I broke down so thinking of having 2 x on the rear bottom bracket but dropping either up or down a gear to drive the back.

Thanks man I’ve got it attached to the frame using a couple of pivots. Perhaps I need something more robust in the same vein ? Or do you mean looking at trying to pivot between the 2 x posts maybe? Still plenty of options to explore! :)
