Progress!!! The grass is cut! And the strip down began! Fitted the wheel rims I will probably use, and got the bars on!

    10 Speed SHOPPER

haha, I am one of the guys on that page Dezzie lol! Now as for the RSW, when i get enough spare time I will make it into a clean bare metal frame, but will start off with mocking up!

    10 Speed SHOPPER

So here it is!! seems as though the whole bike has been acid dipped, as virtually none of the chrome is present! On the plus side, the first thing i did was see if the cotter pin would budge, 1 whack with a hammer later :D

    JC Higgins found in UK

I was watching that, went for a good price in the end! what size are the tyres? If they are 1 3/4 you may have luck finding some 'butcher/delivery' bike ones! Get it rideable and join us all on the Windsor cruise this Sunday :) or failing that the London cruise the following weekend!

    10 Speed SHOPPER

Well I just thought when it comes to making the decals for these it will look smarter if they say Shopper, like that it's only 1 letter change. Anyway,I've just seen there's a mk3 RSW on eBay only a few miles from home. The owner has stripped it to bare metal. The reason it has to be a mk3 RSW...

    10 Speed SHOPPER

Those mags were made by Raleigh for the special edition chopper/tomahawk in the 70s. This build will hopefully be a nice one to accompany the SE!

    10 Speed SHOPPER

A few years ago I was inspired to build the 'SE Shopper' based on the 1976 SE Chopper! As you can see I did a pretty good job on this one! So by looking at this pic of the 10 speed chopper, you can tell which way i am going?? There's going to be a few challenges on the way, as I want...

    A Bike A Month!

The stingray was a touch indeed, even if the seat and sissy bar cost me the same as what the rest of the bike was, but it now sits in the UK muscle bike line up nicely!

    Raleigh Chopper find

120 is a mid 71, what way are the lines on the console? Horizontal? Yep this will have a normal 70-72 spec mk1 chainguard! There's one for the darker orange on eBay.com at the moment! So may be worth you having a punt

    Raleigh Chopper find

I have had a lot of Choppers from the US imported over years, nowadays we are looking at about $200 to ship one of these to the UK if you get it in a small enough bike box, and then its a further $100 in import charges. At least if you go for a 50 mile round trip you are likely to find a bike...

    A Bike A Month!

Space ran out way before any of these came along. I suppose what's lucky is I know the limit as to how far one can go in terms of $$ on these!

    A Bike A Month!

Starting from October for some reason, this 72 Green mk1, from Denmark. Was missing back wheel so I built it coaster spec! November saw my early stingray project, found this as a frameset here in the UK! December got hold of this 72 3+2 mk1! A nice survivor that only needed new tires...

    Raleigh Chopper find

Yep, that's a 71 pumpkin 5 speed. These derailleur 5 speeds I think are the most common models to find stateside, as we never had the mk1 5 speed over here. It looks like this ones had a tough life

    Great Ball Of Fire!

Oh man, fancy me being a week too early on the build up, i suppose i am just too eager to make my builds rideable as soon as possible

    Great Ball Of Fire!

Its been an idea I've had in mind for months, I started to assemble it last week when i received the frame, as i had a few days off work. For me a whole bike is easier to store than a pile of parts Thats the chainwheel, just the short arm variant is found on the 10 speed Chopper and is worth a...

    Great Ball Of Fire!

When you wait a month for a frame to come, what better can you do than gather up parts! Lucky it's all bolt on ;)
