    Craigslist nightmares and dreams...

@Ldog33 wow got to love people from Craigslist some times huh. Around here if you post a bike for $100 you'll get tons of responses offering $40-$50 for it even if you put firm in the ad. Never had anybody call the cops out like that but have had people call and read off the serial to check if...

Thanks. Now to find some padding and see if I have enough to cover the seat.

Picked up some fabric I'm thinking about using for the seat cover.

Firestone girl & huffy boy muscle

Thanks. I did find something about the BMA stickers starting around 72 or 73 then died off someplace in the early 80s but didn't see a solid year range. The reason I guessed 81 for year (which seems way off) is the serial on the head tube starts off HC781. I know nobody has a straight answer...

Firestone girl & huffy boy muscle

Still no clue on the Firestone but I did find a couple 1974-76 huffy ads that the bikes look almost identical to this one; the Red Hot even had the same seat.

Lol that's great oil hole. If all else fails that works.

Firestone girl & huffy boy muscle

So I just acquired 2 kids bikes and know jack about them. Any info would be great. First is this girls Firestone bike. Its missing its head badge & been repainted but where the repaint is popping off the chain guard you can see Firestone and the shield with F in it. Haven't been able to...

Not any more but I know people that do. Chrome and welding don't go together. Small isn't exactly possible with this hole being 5/8" by 3/16" but I'll see what I can come up with.

I love it being long too but that hole is driving me crazy. Think I need to take the guard to the hardware store and see if I can find anything that will cover it and not look silly or be too big to clear everything. If it wasn't chrome it would be an easy patch job. Yea I feel you; once I...

    (MBBO Class 1) BAD WOLF

Thanks Luke. Love how you did my SN. Got the guard mounted. Still not sure what to do at the rear about the og oval mounting hole. Anything that will cover that looks bad... Starting to think I might have to just cut the end off at the seat stay. Also not sure on the fender situation as...

Ok drill had enough charge to finish drilling the holes. Placement looks good IMHO. Now I can start trying to figure out how I'm going to mount the back of the guard.

Yo yoy its yack to the yuild off. The Heavy-Duti is rideable and its time to get back to work. I started working on this first as its at home, now its on the stand. Starting to work on figuring out mounting the chain guard. Went with my old stand by method of putting a chain on and placing...

73 Heavy-Duti fast build (Done; well mostly)

About half way to work stopped at my favorite independent owned gas station (think the only one here) that will be closing in 7 days. And snagged this pick outside work at the rack

73 Heavy-Duti fast build (Done; well mostly)

Just rode to work and overall very happy with the outcome. Couple things need addressed. *the crank are being bent gets a bit annoying the further I ride. *the front fender occasionally rubs the tire. * and as stated before this thing kills up hill. My 4ish mile ride to work is mostly up hill...

I've had great luck with them. They even have good wet traction.

I almost spit out my drink when I saw this. Then it hit me that I miss Kmart; Walmart pushed them out of business here.

Thanks it was fun to ride last night & even at that late hour was getting peoples attention. Thanks. The Hank tires are probably my favorite tires and would run them on just about everything if I could. These tires were on my 2005 Typhoon for a while.

73 Heavy-Duti fast build (Done; well mostly)

Took it for a bit of a ride. I'd say its 97% done. It rode real nice but trying to do the long stretch of uphill about killed me so I'm going to look into changing the rear cog to a bigger size. Also apparently I need to replace my batteries for the lights as they dimmed to almost nothing while...
