73 Heavy-Duti fast build (Done; well mostly)

The frame seems dry so I will hopefully be able to get to work on it soon. Didn't get a chance to shoot the fork like I wanted so I'm going to try to get to it tomorrow. Would work on it after work but think I need to clean my work area first as I've got parts from at least 4 bikes all over...

MBBO Class 2 - ALiEN FiRE - DONE!

I demand a video of what this light does. Never seen one & it sounds cool.

Just checked on the frame; its drying nicely. It was a bit cool last night when I shot the clear and ended up with a couple little runs but not a big deal as I can fix them later if I do desire.

Thanks guys I'll see what I can come up with.

Haulers, what do you haul your bike in?

Wow I guess. Note to self no crew cab truck for me. Its funny because I've had people say the standard bed is worthless on my S10 but did a little figuring & my bed holds more than a full size with stepside bed; also my longest bike (72") fits (tight squeeze)

Thanks. I did replace the balls in the cages for the fork; but I just used the balls from a pair of Hartford bearings that I accidentally missed up the cages on a while back. The crank balls look good so no worry there. I don't think it was pb blaster but anything is possible. It freaked me...

(MBBO Class 1) Orange Lightening....9-Speed...'69 Fastback.

I've had good luck with SRAM; my girls bike had SRAM 3.0 setup and I loved how much easier the rear was to shift with my bad hand.

73 Heavy-Duti fast build (Done; well mostly)

Went after that chrome piece with a bit of annoyance and got it off (wow are my fingers sore) its a bit too late to clear coat it tonight so I'll try to get it done in the morning. Here's the chain guard after clear coat. Oh and I forgot to post this. It freaked me out a bit. That's what I...

73 Heavy-Duti fast build (Done; well mostly)

Well its decided and been done; I shot clear on the frame. I went to move the frame back to the repair stand and got a lovely bunch of yellow on my hands & shirt. The clear made that old yellow spring back to life so I'm glad I sprayed it. I still need to clear coat the fork but haven't been...

Its funny how getting the chain length dialed in can make so much difference.

What the heck is that? Where's the rest of the bed?

    Eddie Munster's Ride

I was thinking that wood would be able to hold up for initial tacking the chain together; if you tried to fully weld like that it would be a bonfire.

I laughed so hard. IMHO the plastic fenders are killing the looks. Think maybe find some nice chrome ones.

Well I got a bit done. The bike is full stripped apart. Got it almost as clean as I can (what a pain getting all the oxidation and pb blaster cleaned off) Thinking I may give it a quick clear coat to help keep from losing any more paint; its so thin in some areas that I lost paint rubbing the...

    (MBBO Class 1) BAD WOLF

Was thinking about that. Need to get a chain on this thing and set forth to figuring it out. May try to finish up my Heavy duti quick so I can get it off the stand tho. Not sure this bike will fit on it but either way at least 1 build should get finished lol.

Me too but I need to figure out mounting in securely with it being that long. Also there is a hole along the face side after the seat stay that was an original mounting point that's throwing me for a loop.

Its got a couple areas that are a bit bent along the face side but I haven't tried to see if I can straighten them out yet.

    (MBBO Class 1) BAD WOLF

Got my chain guard from @Dr. Tankenstein going to start planning how I'm going to make it fit; its a tad long as is lol. But I kind of like it long; gives it a different look.

Too bad that even baby cranks wouldn't clear that looks sweet.

    Stupidity at its finest

Well I see a couple options. Find somebody that has a good amount of land that will let you ride it on. Sell it. Or be a criminal and ride on the street.
