    Nothing Special, CWC Hiawatha

Yes, planning a raw finish. Going to clear it to prevent rusting. Got some ideas for finishing, like the tank and little highlights here and there. I spent 5 days on the road last weekend going to Durango and Silverton, headed up to Eagle today for the weekend... I am way too busy in summertime...

Blues Brothers Bike. Done in jail. BLUESSICAL

Be careful with the right pedal on the left side, the reason for the reverse threading is to prevent the pedal from unthreading from the crank while pedalling, would suck if it backed out on you! keep the rubber side down!

Been working on my high top e250 these past few days, headed to Durango, CO for the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic for 5 days. 5 days of not working on the build.... had a moment to loosely assemble my cranks! Just wanted to see what it will look like. Back to stripping paint next week... keep the...

    The Grocery Getter

That sucks! Wanted to see this one finished. I could see someone scrapping aluminum bike frames, but the price on scrap steel is so cheap is it even worth their time? I deal with recycling old bike parts all the time, barely get enough for a sixer when I drop off a full Jeep load of scrap...

    Fat Chance Buckshaver

Was gifted this early 90s Fat Chance Buckshaver yesterday! Its complete, in great shape, and almost correct! I do plan on returning it back to original, wheels, fork, brakes, and some other bits arent period correct but hopefully I can locate some of the correct parts for it. I am bummed because...

Where its at currently, have not made much progress, but did haul the wheels in to tension up the spokes and get some measurements for the customizing I plan on doing to them. Need to find a good couple of free hours to complete paint removal, this is the bare side... keep the rubber side down!

    Cycle Therapy

For the rear cable mount at the chainstay, what about using one of the sturmey cable stops from one of the bikes that used full housing and no pulley? They ran the housing down the frame all the way to the stay, you could flip it to have bare cable to the stop, then housing from there to the...

No worries! I was pedalling around on my Kona yesterday, did about 40 miles. At one point I noticed I am using a 3/32" freewheel and chainring with an 1/8" chain on that bike! Had a black 1/8" chain laying around last time I was playing musical drivetrains, seems to be fine, shouldnt have any...

    Klunker Two Point Ohh!

Yeah! Hope the bars are what you are after! I do like the 4 bolt bmx stem/moto bar combo. I would be searching for an older quill style from the 80s thats nice and curvy, the newer stuff looks blocky and chunky in my opinion, not quite the correct look for a klunker or cruiser I think. Or maybe...

    ☆ARMADILLO ESPECIAL☆ •FINISHED•

Had a brutal hail storm come through last week, close to golf ball sized! Thankfully my Jeep and the new to me E250 didnt receive any damage. There are others that got it bad around here though. Every time some spring storms roll through I can only think of the folks east of me in tornado alley...

    Evolution Flyer

Not a huge fan of SG, but saddened as I am when I hear of anyone passing. I did get the opportunity to see them live down at the VooDoo Fest in New Orleans one year. Good show! keep the rubber side down!

Yes, it is completely different than a traditional cog on a coaster. This one is for a blue band overdrive 2spd, and is not compatible with red or yellow band 2spds. NOS, still have the box, and would be willing to trade for a red or yellow band driver so I can play with some machining of the...

    Nothing Special, CWC Hiawatha

I cant bring myself to modify the driver for the Bendix Auto like that. If it was a traditional cog then no worries, I would bring it down to a friend who has a mill and start machining! Or if I can find another driver, perhaps a little crustier, I may make an attempt, but honestly more than...

There appear to be 4 of those frames down there! None are red though, the closest looks like it was green, I see a blue one , and two black ones? The seat tube of the vertical one looks red... Anyways, its going on my '56 Columbia I started rebuilding as a tribute for my mom, she was born in '56...

Got my wheels laced up so I can get some measurements for the pieces I need to get them customized the way I want. Tossed them onto the frame to see where I am with it all and visualize the final build. Still need to figure out a stem, bar, and saddle. Then pedals and grips. And more custom...
