    Super Collegiate...Finally Finalized

A 1:1 ratio will definitely ease the climbs! I do usually run the barrel adjuster for the shifter under the brake lever/handle bar. Make sure its not up against the bottom of the lever so you can still adjust it, and it helps prevent damage to that part of the shifter in the event of a crash...

    ☆ARMADILLO ESPECIAL☆ •FINISHED•

I have been running short stems and risers on my mtbs for almost 20yrs, definitely recommended for offroad travel. Hopping the bike and cornering are much improved, which should come in handy out in west texas hill country. Its beautiful out there, had a friend who used to spend time in...

    Nothing Special, CWC Hiawatha

Got the rims de-laced and cleaned up. Time to calculate spoke lengths and see if I have the correct ones in stock at home. Hope that is the case. Planning on 3x on the rear, maybe 1x or Radial up front? I like the looks of crossed spokes, and have never done 1x before. Will see what lengths work...

Blackout... brighter pics. added... guess I made a hotrod and got mooned again

I will say it again, I love that fork. Looks like a vintage version of the Girvin forks that came on the Pro-Flex bikes, wonder if its where they got the inspiration? Looks much better on a vintage bike compared to the Girvin in my opinion. Cant wait to see the finished product! keep the rubber...

Loving the build so far, great parts choices! My buddy rides those Vans waffle pattern grips on his dirt jumper and loves them. What is the story behind the Self Energizing brake? Have not seen those before, but love the color. One of my favorite online spoke calculators is Freespoke. Allows...

I am snagging them from my local distributor J&B Importers, who sell to almost all local bicycle shops in the country. Also have seen them on amazon I believe, but the price per tire is the same as a local shop would sell them for, retail is on average 19.99 per tire. Again they are the Sunlite...

Also tires, planning on a set of the Sunlite Revolutions 26x2.5 if I can stuff them in there. Shout out to @OddJob for the lead on ordering the 2.5 Sunlites through JBI, had no idea they were making these! keep the rubber side down!

Have not had much time to wrench on the ride, but came across a set of rims! A friend donated a pickup bed trailer full of wheels to our business, passed most along to the community shop I work at but saved these Sun Metal Products 36h steel rims that I guess were manufactured in 03/93? Should...

Though cheap, those Sunlites are pretty sweet looking for a larger volume tire, going to have to see if they stock them at the Denver JBI warehouse! Edit: Just checked and it seems they have them at almost every warehouse, so anyone could have these in their hands within a week, depending on...

And the pie plate... most of the time those are used on derailleur equipped bikes, but I imagine you could modify one to fit the sturmey. The cog installs like any other coaster brake cog, with the addition of two spacers the cog sits between. Not sure if they originally intended that to be a...

Its the Sturmey AW3 hub. The 333 is a Shimano hub I believe, but the shifters should work as long as you use the cable hardware for the Sturmey, I have that hardware to connect to any cable I will toss in as well. Hard to screw up the adjustment, when the shifter is in second gear, you want the...

Its together! Got the hub internals from a '53, but the hub shell on the rim says '73. Amazing how universal the AW hub is! Up to you to clean the outsides, insides are dialled! Will be locating the rest of the nuts and the chain, then tossing it in a box for ya! keep the rubber side down!

Getting some progress done on paint removal, tedious but the results are what I am after, and I am seeing some of what I love, that fillet brazing on the tube junctions. Wish they had done that to every joint! keep the rubber side down!

I have rebuilt many an internal hub, the sturmey 3spd is easy for me. I will get the insides polished up for ya and let you know when its ready, should be within the next couple of days. keep the rubber side down!

I do love the Maxxis Hookworms, may not be the ideal tread for a vintage cruiser, but they are a great tire for skatepark street and DJ use, which you probably arent doing with this ride... I do agree a large volume tire to fill those fenders is needed. keep the rubber side down!

I just stumbled across a 20" wheel with a sturmey hub in my stash! Its got no guts at the moment but I have some other hubs I can salvage the internal gear assembly from. Offer is still up if you need a wheel, pay shipping and its yours! Then find yourself a stickshift... let me know! keep the...
