    Bring on your GREEN BIKES!!!

I would love to do period correct but I don’t know... I need to get back to work and catch about 1000 tons of squid so I can build it like I’ve always wanted to.

    Cranbrook bubble?

This one unridden sold for $42 at an auction in 2018:21: I guess most people are as ignorant as I just was regarding that bike Look at this... how about a little closer Mavic wheels and Profile drivetrain... I I’d spend $79 just for those cranks and just did on some NOS PROFILES!

    Cranbrook bubble?

Wow those things came with Profile cranks and hubs! This one blog post I read sums up why the that bike failed... http://greenbirdbikeblog.blogspot.com/2013/04/huffys-foray-into-high-end-bmx.html?m=1 And what’s funny is on one of the first google search images the bike has had the Huffy name...

    Cranbrook bubble?

Every Huffy I’ve ever seen aside from the exact bikes being ridden by the likes of Stu have been absolute garbage. I’m not sure how they haven’t gone out of business due to their bikes not being safe to be used in the genre from which they get their styling cues or simply from the horrendous...

new Huffy split tube? What the heck? (also, working at DSG as a bike tech)

My brother once stuffed a tire with grass on a solo ride like 10 miles out in the middle of nowhere. He had forgotten his patch kit that day or blew out the sidewall of his tire or something. He made it home.

    Coaster brake blues

So one day I’m riding and skidding, giving my then 5 year old a run down on the basics. I had recently purchased a wheel set off of that E site. And was shaking down the then fledgling stages of https://ratrodbikes.com/forum/index.php?threads/stoked-formerly-senseless.112005/ I bent the snot out...

This category should be expanded to include 29ers too?

    Nope. 24 is too small and I don’t own a 29er:emo:

    Bring on your GREEN BIKES!!!

This frame was to be the first in my illustrious craft frame building career. Alas, I moved closer to the beach started surfing everyday and my priorities changed almost overnight. Built at UBI in Ashland, Oregon summer 1995. I built it as a dedicated single speed by cutting the derailleur...

    Daddy Long Legs

One spoke missing is pretty minor I have seen and ridden down long steep country roads on wheels that should have definitely been completely thrown away. Centrifugal force is our friend in that regard. Just tighten up the two spokes next to the broken one a half turn or so with a Crescent...
