    Secrets of the Masters

While you have a frame sttripped down, get it into alignment. A lot of bikes weren't built that carefully to begin with, or have suffered over the years. It's not hard to do and can make a huge difference in how the bike rides. Here's one link to the procedure...

    Space Patrol Bike

The press was pretty simple to make- frame is from an 8" tie rod type hydraulic cylinder with some other random scrap steel, mainly pipe flange blanking plates. power comes from a 30 ton bottle jack with two corners chopped off to fit. I've been playing with it to emboss old bicycle headbadges...

More plotting and scheming and gathering materials than anything else- the bike and parts are in transit to the west coast. I am scaring up supplies to make a set of 1/2" rollers for the mighty harbor freight tubing roller for the fender stays and found a good site about forming the ends...

any ideas for a teen girl for training wheels or something of that sort?

One more thought, if she has an IEP at school or if there is a Physical/ Occupational Therapist with the school district it wouldn't hurt to touch base with them- thay might have some insight on the core cause.

    Felt Outfitter- Bosch Electric Mid-Drive

I am VERY happy with an Aotema hub motor, a lithuium iron phoshate battery and a 1980s mountain bike as my commuter. A heck of a lot cheaper than a store bought e-bike!

BOTEN!! Yeah, yeah, yeah... Space Pumpkin!! Let's go Space Pumpkin

I like the end of the tank under the seatstays- it looks nice and I am having to do some excavation to fit the tank over the seatstays on a Murray/Hiawatha frame.

    Space Patrol Bike

I'm staying up too late enjoying a good midwestern thunderstorm, something that I just don't get in California. I also managed to win a 2011 Fat Tire beer bike at a local restaurant (this has been a very odd trip so far) and after playing with the Roadmaster stays and looking at the Fat Tire...

    Best tire levers

The steel core levers work the best for me, although in the ancient long ago I used spoons stolen from the dining hall. They actually worked OK.

    Old School Sign Painting

I am a sucker for a hand painted sign. My mothers home town had ONE sign painter and I would recognize his work all over the place. Very few are still left now.

any ideas for a teen girl for training wheels or something of that sort?

Maybe take the cranks off of a smaller bike to make it some kind of "balance bike"- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balance_bicycle That way she can put her feet on the ground and scoot away until she gets the feel for it. I am not a fan of training wheels. Tiny kids started on balance bikes are...

Wrap around or street sweeper rear fenders...

I couldn't find the shotgun bike but I have always admired the anti-tank Vespa: https://www.google.com/search?q=anti+tank+vespa&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=-fFGVfuGF4yagwSgqYC4BQ&ved=0CC4QsAQ&biw=1366&bih=635

    Space Patrol Bike

The paint is not in too bad a shape, and is responding to rubbing compound. There is a lot of rust peppering that I HOPE will respond to an oxalic acid bath: Rooting around in the sheds I've come up with some more parts-some Lucas L550 interior lights for headlights, but with LEDs behind them...

    What's your motivation?

In a nutshell, I'm bored. I am back in a former (very small) home town and I need something to do. When you, Mr. Henderson, posted about your genderbender tanks a few months ago I thought right away about that un-saleable ladies spaceliner under my porch. Too nice to scrap, not worth fixing up...

The Silver Surfer - FINISHED! (BOTEN)

Silver Surfer always makes me think of Doolittle from the the movie Dark Star- surfing on a piece of debris down to the planets' surface. If you haven't seen it, it's a good weird movie.
