25% acetic acid vinegar for paint/rust removal?

That's a most thorough description of a couple of methods. The Flower? What is that about? I missed it. Maybe mix something with flour to make it stay against the metal? Sorry but I'm old and ADHD doesn't make for good reading comprehension. And I forget more easily. Did I mention I forget...

25% acetic acid vinegar for paint/rust removal?

M4RM x 2. That's the precise method I would recommend. I use baking soda for lots of things. I even buff out brass and such with the baking soda. Just always be sure to rinse it completely. If you leave some, it may cause an unwanted discoloration . Be Well, SS.

25% acetic acid vinegar for paint/rust removal?

Bali sounds exotic to me here in middle America. I am not sure about acetic acid but I would try it. Only on a small, hard to see underside of the bike. And just to see how much I can gain and or get away with. I have 30% acetic acid and it sure smells strong. Kind of like the developer in the...

    Anybody else have a motorcycle?

Hi! My name is Short Stuff and yes I have three motorcycles. An 82 CB750C, an 82 CB750C w/full faring, and a 76 Gold Wing. The wing was made before they were detuned for the US EPA stupidity. They then got worse fuel mileage. But the EPA was supposed to support less pollution which to me would...

Could a setup with an IGH be used? It might be easier to make it look slick than a derailleur. Be Well, SS.

I wonder if a CYC high powered electric pedal assist motor and a couple of hot batteries would make that bike sing? Has a lot of room for maybe a couple of 72 volt batteries. It looks great on its' own. Be Well, SS.

    Bikes on bridges

Thanks for that Matti. I won't ride my bike to the bridge I want a photo with. I do have my pickup fixed with a new truck bed and painted. January my adult son went to KC MO in my truck to buy some work tools. On the way back it was slick enough the truck lost traction on the interstate and went...

Rant: why I have trouble supporting the LBS

WVoldguy that is the key to being a good salesman. I should have gone into bicycle sales after getting out of the car business. I lost a customer once because he was insistent but I was talking to a serious customer before he came in. I told him I would get him right after I took care of the...

Rant: why I have trouble supporting the LBS

I have great luck with my LBS. They even let me know when they have a bike in my frame size. But they don't flock to you like a used car salesman when you come in the door. If you want to look around I just let them know. The tell me about things I need fixed when they look at my bike. No big...
