A little more mocking up today before heading out on a job. Had this headlight I was going to use for something else but it fits this build better. Fabricated a bracket for it from an old reflector bracket so if I can figure out how to wire it with the tail light I think it works. I am going...

    GENEVA

I am so envious of all the cool parts you have. Can not wait to see this finished.

    Like that fender.

    Supercharged Gasser

I have no idea. I trash picked it and never have found a rear one.

It has been a day of mocking ideas up. I wish I had more parts to work with but I think these handlebars have a good feel to them. Might give them a faux rust look to help balance the brown of the fender. Also trying to get this tail light to work.

    bike flip

I am doing something that is unprecedented in my life. I am actually working on 2 bike projects at the same time. Will see how long that lasts. But started putting Bike flip back together. Need a couple of nuts and bolts but I think everything is ready to go. Here it is so far.

Brett, I normally prefer more subtle mounts myself but decided the rubber brackets just give more of a texture and a "home made" feel. I do not want it to be to pretty. But I can use some votes if my fender idea is any good. The back 1/3rd of the original fender was pretty mangled so bobbed it...

What kind of date on it guys? 50's? I really like the seat post angled back. Makes it look like it is going fast.

    Wilbur & Orville Wright

Fyi on the Wright brothers. There is some debate on them being the first powered flight. Their important contribution is their understanding and development of the flight controls.

Picked up the tires over the weekend and painted up the wheel set. Wanted (once again) a classic hot rod look to them. My inspiration: How they turned out: Hope to have the tank finished tomorrow.

    Classic Rat

Since the theme of this build is classic rat I decided to go with a classic faux tank that has been used a few times on here. I am usually not one for brackets but thought they added a nice textural touch. Not sure yet how I will finish it.

That is the worst of the pitting. It is on the bottom of the stays so could fill the pitting and just touch it up???? I usually do not work with very old frames so I guess these are common problems but decided to re-grease the fork bearings and found some striped threads on the fork. With all...

I think I am going to try my 1st BO if I can use this frame. It has some pitting on the bottom of the stay I am worried might have weakened it. It feels solid but wondering what might happen when a 200 lb. person is riding it. Need opinions. Could I just hit it with a welder to fill in? Do...

    kick stand

I have this kick stand I want to use. Very rusty but have manage to soak it in some liquid wrench and it moves now but has a gritty sound when it does. Do you think I can soak it in some Naval Jelly to get the inside cleaned up better then try and get some grease in there? Is there a better...

    Never seen before

I see I accidently posted this in the wrong section. Should have been bike talk, ops! It is off a Sears bike so cheap could be an explanation.

    Never seen before

This may be a pretty common thing but I have never seen it before. I was parting out some trash picked bikes when I came across this Looks like a skip tooth mixed with a regular chain ring. Is this common and I just never noticed before?

    what do you think?

Jack the price up $200. That way when you tell them you will sell for $350. They think they are getting a deal.
