Need some help from you electricians out there. Trying to figure out the wiring for my headlight and tail light. I know it is simple but it has been 40 years since electronics class in JR high. Here is my thought. Going old school with regular bulbs instead of leds. Wondering if this wiring...

american pickers is gonna be in my hometown

How about when they try to get another $10 off the price knowing they are going to sell it for 3 times what they are about to pay for it. Burns me up.

They are from Tandy Leather. Called medium rapid rivets 1273-16 I used a regular pair of pliers to squeeze the two parts together.

Yep that was what it needed, some rivets.

The fender is growing on me and I think there is no turning back with it. It is glued down for good. Although I did find some rivets in my stash of goodies I may add to it. Oddjob, by work I did mean light up. Hoping I can get the headlight and tail light to work off of one battery pack. Just...

    Hiawatha Seneca (almost there)

That bike is great. I really like the asymmetrical tank painting. Any thought on painting the name on the blank side? Tail light was cool but the saddle bags really add to it.

Love the video posts people are starting to do. Especially Lukes time lapse! Two suggestions to keep in mind: 1-TV, Movies, etc are all shot horizontally. Fills the screen better. 2- stabilize the camera either on a tripod or some surface. All that jiggling around makes it hard to see and it is...

Finally had the parts and chance to do something I have always wanted to try. Found 2 metal plates from the rear freewheels of two old racers. With some slight modification and a faux rusty paint job I think they give the wheel a little something extra even though they are not exact matches...

    Home made bottom bracket?

Use a piece of copper to back the holes and then weld them over. Weld will not stick to the copper and a little grinding will make it look like they never existed.

    Home made bottom bracket?

There is always the thrill of making everything yourself then there is re-inventing the wheel, so to speak. Just cut one off an old frame.

A friend of my neighbor told me about the hair drier trick. Was able to remove all but a couple of the wrinkles. What is left are much smaller and what the heck it is a rat.

    Olds Cool

I am looking at it and thinking "the seat has to go and the tire reflectors" but besides that you are finished.

Kingfish, agree with you on the bars. They need some sort of texture besides the old chrome.
