There was a guy on UK ebay selling Stingray parts including a rear wheel.

They're either Ford Escort Si or Ford Mondeo Si rims so would be 15" or 16"

What a great looking little bike these are. That's what I love about using this site, seeing so many interesting bikes. Makes me realise how pedestrian the majority of UK bikes were/are. Should be an awesome build! Love a bit of retro!! :cool2:

Thanks for the replies guys. My problem is I don't really have the cash to fork out for any kind of welding plant at the moment and a friend of mine has a stick welder for stock car racing which I can use. I have had some welding experience but it was a long time ago while I was at college...

As per thread title, what type of welder/welding do you guys use to put together custom frames/burrito bikes? The reason I ask is I only really have access to an ARC/Stick type welder & wondered if this may be a little heavy duty for welding bike tubing together? Any input would be gratefully...
