    Matti Scores!!

Looks nice. I like aluminum:bandit: Would love to find a nice 24" BMX for kickin around. In the process of building a 26" BMX from this old Kona instead. Aluminum frame, check. Sealed Suzue hubbed 7x's, check. Half-link chrome chain, check. 7" rise black bars, check. Need to get off my tail and...

Muscle Bike Build Off....anyone up for it?!?

I tried riding the Shredder, but kept flipping over backwards every time I popped a wheelie. So I'm building a BIG-BOY 20" bike.

    Modern MOOSEGOOSE build. FRAME 2!

This all reminds me of the 20" build I have been planning for the winter build off.

Muscle Bike Build Off....anyone up for it?!?

21" and under Class 2 does not require apes, banana seat, or smaller front tire? Is that correct?

Muscle Bike Build Off....anyone up for it?!?

Maybe I could put some 20's on this old mountain bike with the super high bottom bracket. But don't think I got any short 3-piece cranks:confused:

    I finally sold something

I was looking at a Tig welder at the pawn shop the other day. But I just don't have time to mess with the ladies bikes that I don't want to ride. And probably can't even sell the frames for ten bucks each.

    I finally sold something

I need to sell a two or three...and put a couple or four bare ladies frames out by the road for the junk man.

    Crusty Klunker budget build

I love the look of your bike too. And I can certainly understand wanting a lighter, faster, more maneuverable bike for the street. My bike is a little slow. But I need the extra excercise. And I've been out of the bike game for a while. The big tires force me to ride harder.

    Crusty Klunker budget build

Cool bars. I've considered dropping down from the 2.4 Rock Hawks on my build off klunker/cruiser bike because the bike is kinda heavy. But I sure do like the way they handle roots and rocks and curbs and potholes. And love the way they look. Plus I feel like I could go over ANYTHING with them...

    Chopper bars

Don't know if it would work for you. But found these https://dallas.craigslist.org/mdf/mpo/d/arlington-handle-bars/6963386895.html Link corrected.

    Gravel Grinder Green Motobike 1930

Cool. Nice rear dropouts. Been thinkin about putting an 8-speed 700c wheelset on a 63 Schwinn Corvette cantilever frame. I can force fit the 700x35's in the back. But if I want to go with larger tires, will need to remove the fender mount tab and grind a little off the bottom of the dropouts.

    1962 Schwinn American slimline tank

    Yeah. Me too

    '64 Schwinn Hornet Strandie

I like those seats too. And the bars have the perfect retro look also.

    Winter build off?

I don't know if the bikes I'd like to build would even qualify by the rules as a "muscle bike". Unless smaller tire on the front could mean 26x2.35 on the rear and 26x2.00 on the front.

    One of those days...

The chain wouldn't fit on the outside slot on the Sunlite I bought...until after I broke the tab off. You can see where the tab used to be in this photo, and that the "outside" space is not enough for a normal chain The adustable "stop" was adjusted to where it's at in the photo. Not sure why...

    ROAD BIKES LETS SEE EM

In the works. 85 Schwinn Sierra with 700c 8-speed Nexus. But I think I'm going to put this setup, along with the Sakae cranks, on a 63 Schwinn Corvette frame. As it will have a little more rear tire clearance, a little lower bottom bracket, and room for a layback seatpost for a little more leg...

    I’m really into original paint

That's the plan. Got an Araya 7x 26x1.75/ Suzue sealed bearing hub wheelset, some medium height black BMX bars, and a 27mm to 1" seatpost shim. Just need to order a BMX style stem, a black layback post, and maybe a B17. Will use the original Sugino cranks with a single chainring. And the...

    I’m really into original paint

If it's a color I like, and it looks good, I won't paint it. But I'd rather have black primer than an old rust bucket. My new to me Kona, only 26 years old, is pretty scratched up. But aluminum don't rust the same as steel. And I like the color. So I might not paint it. Just clean it real good...
