Yeah, my longest frame is the Fuji foot foward bike at about 25" top tube, but only 16" seat tube. It's quite comfortable for just cruising. But aggressive off-road riding is against it's nature. So less than ideal for a go anywhere/do anything bike. The rest of the bikes I've been working on...

I've been planning to build some ichi style seats out of a skateboard and a snowboard....whenever I get around to it. I like that style of seat with the quilted top and smooth sides. And it would lend itself well to a two-tone scheme. Of course you could always go with the racing stripes down...

Seat tube. I'm a kind of lanky 6 feet tall. And according to most charts that slots me for either a large or extra large frame. But I surely don't love the lack of standover on extra large frames in general. Ideally, with enough seat angle, something around 24-25" or a skosh more effective top...

I'd like to see something with a 19 or 20 inch frame.

Personally, I'd never dream of putting a white seat on a boys/mens "muscle bike", unless... it was extreme in it's muscularity in every other way. But different stroke, right. My vote. The black matches the frame accents and blends well with the bike as a whole, as opposed to standing out on...

So I figure I should post a pic of the bike in it's current condition before I start putting it together. I don't love the color. But the paint is in pretty good shape on this bike. So it'll stay. Probably paint the chainguard and the fork a different color for contrast. These big old rusty...

Here's mine being neglected as we speak. Looks kinda blue in the pic. But I always looked at it like an old avocado appliance color. I'm going to roll with a black fork to give it a little tougher look. I'm thinkin a fat 26" nobby in the back. Maybe 2.6, 2.7, whatever it takes. And a 700x50...

If you're getting a newer one, then I'd vote to ss the older one. At least until you accumulate all the parts to restore it to multi-speed, if that's the plan.

Definitely. I bought this whole bike for twenty bucks at a pawn shop.They had it marked down because the shifters were toast and one of the v-brakes was disconnected. And a broken spoke nipple. It doesn't fit me, but a newish cheap suspension fork(RST Capa CL) with caliper mounts, good Tektro...

That fork looks a whole lot like the RockShox Indy XC on my Kona. If it has the same guts, it's about the simplest fork there is. No rebound valve. Just two springs on top of two elastomers with a preload adjustment up top. My fork was missing one of the elastomers. You can buy polyurethane rod...

I've been looking for the right 24" wheels for a bmx/klunker conversion for this bikeThe bottom bracket is pretty high, so I have to sit really high to get decent leg extension. I figure 24x2.5 or so and I could touch the ground.
