    Rhiannon's Ride

I think I'm going to withdraw this from the competition. Went out and looked at it last night for a minute and don"t think I can convince myself to devote any time to it other than maybe scavanging the headset, bottom bracket, and dogleg crank. Had a cedar limb picked out for the broomstick and...

    Kona Cafe'

A mountain in Washington? It's not Japanese...:D Besides, Tacoma Cafe doesn't have the same ring to it.;)

    That's a good one!

    Rhiannon's Ride

Probably more Halloween-ish. Tis the season!

I had consider making it a poor man's Trek Sawyer. But this may end up being more of either an acquired taste or an EXPLOSION of the senses!

    Thanks! I can't either!

    Prairie Cracker

Ah yeah. I guess so. I googled it. Maybe something like this? But with a long fork.

I really think it'd make a sweet 24" BMX cruiser, but I have plenty of 20" wheels. And this is the 20 and under class:D

'97 Kona AA Mountain Shock is the base to this build. A nice lightweight frame built from Easton 7005 aluminum tubes. Bought this bike a few months ago with 27.2 seatpost stuck in a 27.0 hole, shot bottom bracket, broken shifters, frayed/rusted shift cables, mangled cable guide on top tube, and...

RaTsberry Buffet ....What's cookin' ?....pg 9

Seen one like that in a second hand store once. I remember it because they were playing this song from In Through The Out Door

    Rhiannon's Ride

Photo is of the bike as I received it. The ladies Schwinn Cruiser Four has been liberated of it's wheelset. And the stem, bars, seat and seatpost have been removed. A different, darker look is in the cards.

Yep. What MattiT said. It's chromoly. How much of it? I don't know. Some companies make just the seat tube out of it. Others it's the whole frame.

    Prairie Cracker

Yeah, I'd never heard of it before I bought it. But lugged Tange fork and frame, cool slingshot stem, 7x rims with sealed Suzue hubs, and pedals worth more than I gave for the bike. I didn't even try to haggle. The name has really grown on me though.

Gonna try and turn this ladies/mixte Windsor Kensington 8 into something with more entertainment value. Started to see some possibility that it could be a cool bike...maybe...after I took the racks and fenders off. Sticker says 4130, so that's something I guess. The wheelsets that I bought it...

    Prairie Cracker

Big boy 20" BMX econo build with a ratty attitude and no real concern of winning, just a fun rider, is the plan. Started life as a classic Japanese Tange lugged frame and fork MTB known as the Shogun Prairie Breaker II (shown with Schwinn Sierra front wheel). Rusty nuts and bolts. Rotten tires...

WTB: Cheap old school 26in MTB

Maybe? I have three of the old road/track style stems also. The ones that are more horizontal to the ground.

WTB: Cheap old school 26in MTB

I guess I'll have to put some wider 26's back on this With some upside down bars like these...or I got some similar but wider aluminum bars with a little less drop...and call it a gravel bike! Win-win

WTB: Cheap old school 26in MTB

I bought the Rock Hawks 26x2.4 with this moon-looking surface of crushed-rock/concrete hardpack with a thin, loose, silt top layer in mind. Lots of roads and trails like this around here. I don't know if this is what's referred to as gravel, but it's pretty slick and I don't want to wipe out on...
