    multiple bicycles

Only have had more than 1 bike for about 4 years. Anywhere between 15-25 at any time. Of those, I'd say there's usually about 6ish "keepers" the rest get traded/sold over time.

Kingfish254's Finds - Over Ten Years of Kingfish Scores!!

I dig the Fenders. Same sorta style as what I did last year! I really don't like that Ruff cycle frame, but it looks really good with those on them.

Don't get Pissed ..I need to cut a dyno frame . Help !!

Sadly they are made in Taiwan. And why change a great frame. The best thing about a deuce is the paint!

How do these last compared to vinyl?

Lots of cool bikes.....but one stands out..

This is hard for me, because I tend to agree with the op, but it's just really tricky to get into that sweet spot of having enough classic/vintage aspects to your build that the majority of people here would like, but doing enough customizing that your build stands out, without going over the...

    dip it paint

I've used it before. It's great for temporary coverage, or stuff you may not be sure you want to paint, but it's most definately not as hard or long lasting as a true paint and clear. I've also used the rustoleum brand, flexidip, which seems even softer than plasti dip.

    GT Performer yay or nay?

meh. GT BMX bikes really started to decline around that time, really heavy, and not alot of collectable value on them at all. I'm a GT guy, and bar the rare slammer, world tour, or higher end model I wouldn't bother.

    Craigslist nightmares and dreams...

How bout, you see a bike listed in your routine hourly Craigslist checkup, establish contact, verify everything is in great condition, barely used - sweet just what I wanted. Schedule up a time the next day, as it's a 4 hour drive away. Get about 3 hours into the drive, only to get a text -...

    COOK BROS = GOLD!

What specific patents or features does a CBR have that he could even attempt to pursue a lawsuit? For one, IP trademarks and patents are worthless in China/Taiwan, where basically 99% of bikes are made now. You might be able to block the sales of something in the US, but to stop production...

    COOK BROS = GOLD!

Oh, I know WHY they are in demand, as someone who's currently in that mid life crisis, albeit earlier(36). I just don't understand why someone puts that kind of value into them. If it was an actually racer owned and ridden bike, I can see there being some sort of value added, but right now, its...

    COOK BROS = GOLD!

Never understood why these are so highly overpriced.. Old School BMX is where the cash is right now, and its gotten worse in this market than any other bicycle style/era. I can't wait till the market falls in BMX and all these Nostalgic suckers/idiots that keep driving the prices on stuff are...

    Replacement crank clearance on chainguard

Also, I don't understand how you would use spacers to get the crank arms out further on a 3 pc? The spacers go on the threaded portion, and can be used to move the chainwheel, but don't the crank arms attach to the spindle, in whatever taper pattern there at the end and that's what you get. I...

    Replacement crank clearance on chainguard

So, took some measurements of bikes I have currently. a 1 pc off a Dyno BMX is about 30mm closer to the chainwheel, a 180mm Profile 3 pc is about 25 mm closer, so most definitely 1 pc are not a standard, and 3 pc cost a way too much money to buy and try. There has to be some sort of measurement...

    SHOW US YOUR KLUNKERZ

That's who I actually got the bike from. He's only a second owner who just flipped it quickly, so not alot of info out there. I have all the og parts, just swapped the seat, pedals, grips and bars it looks, alot tougher now. I have some cheapy white tires I was thinking of swapping on there and...

    SHOW US YOUR KLUNKERZ

Heres my new Klunker build! Rare old CW Racing cruiser frame I torture with Porkchops. Edit: If anyone knows anything about this bike, would love to know. I can't find anything at all. Didn't even think this bike was real when I saw on CL and researching, up until I saw it. CW branded...

    Replacement crank clearance on chainguard

I was hoping to run 170mm profile racing bmx cranks, which are 68? Spline not square tapered, with sealrd bearings, no spider/ring setup just a chainwheel, at least on the coaster (no guard) But I would also like to know if a standard 1 piece off of a GT/Dyno bmx would work without buying 1 to...

    Replacement crank clearance on chainguard

Was planning on swapping my cranks from the Coaster to the Ultra Glide and picking up a 3 piece profile set for the Coaster, which I took the chainguard off, so theres no interference issues on that, however I was out on a ride over the weekend, and one of the pedals got banged and managed to...

Twas a good week o' scores!

The mid 80s was a really weird era for bikes. Mountain bikes were just becoming a "thing" but not yet enough marketshare as the dominant style as they are today. Just so many builders trying different stuff, weird mountain/cruiser/bmx/road/klunker/hybrid things that are hard to categorize. The...
