    Post Apocolypse Bike

I think you need to rig up a pipe/bat holder in the event on of the other riders in your group acts up while your riding.

    Favorite Bike Maker?

Gt Bicycles, but more specifically DYNO A lot of people will squinty eye me here, as I picked a more "modern" brand. But we're talking about a brand here that basically brought innovation and created and grew sectors of the bike market for over 20 years. BMX wouldn't have existed if not for...

    Mongoose 26" bmx ??? Pics added 6/12...

750-1250 is average from what I've seen. A nos mint condition maybe up $2k. Nice score indeed. And FYI Noone made an early 26" bmx that isn't worth a truckload today. 80s bmx cruisers are probably the highest gaining bikes in value today and should continue for the next 5 or so yrs IMO, us...

    Mongoose 26" bmx ??? Pics added 6/12...

If its an 80s Mongoose 26" jump all over it and run. As the link above shows, the KOS Kruisers are simply $$$$ right now. Everyone 35-45 that road bmx in the 80s is has jobs and money now and these are in high demand...

    Secrets of the Masters

One thing with the foil on chrome to watch for out for is scratching. Make sure to fold instead of ball when wiping. And use a lube. I use white vinegar instead of water as a lubricant.

Yea these 16"s are worth more due to rarity compared to the 20"s

Need some info and a little advice (dolomite, hitch, malus or gravity )

Ok, so I have a Dolomite. Its very heavy, and if you really plan on riding it, you'll end up replacing the brakes and cockpit at a minimum. Last weekend, I saw a guy riding a bikesdirect fat bike. It was ridiculously light compared to the Mongoose. Like normal bike weight. I wish I would have...

What do do with a stock Dolomite

Well, define proper style? They have a modern mtb geo, and fat tires. I think apes are a worthwhile addition it's more a heavy cruiser than something you'll slog around 15 miles of singletrack... quite honestly, in stock form it's a beast to pedal awhile or on low pressure (loose sand) Since...

    Secrets of the Masters

I've heard trans fluid was better than oil for restoring old chains... I have no experience in the matter.

    Secrets of the Masters

Buy more bikes. No; but realistically, don't buy individual parts, your much better off just buying a cheaper bike for the parts you need and keeping the rest in your stock for later. For example, a set of whitewalls on the internet or shop may run you $60, whereas you can get a set of white...

    CyberKlunk: Twin Halo

Yes, yes indeed... What a score off Craigslist there, all 3 ebikes for $200. Its a good thing my old man has been big into the ebike/battery scene for awhile, as the 2 newer giants had bad batteries. Should be able to get both up and running for a few hundo, sell one and keep the other. They...

    Dyno ultra glide questions

Early Dyno were US built, and IMO better riders than most of those older bikes. IMO older Schwinn's are living off the nostalgia thing right now, as riders and collectors age, so do the "hot" fads. What I'm seeing now, at least in the BMX world, is those 80s-90s bikes values rising faster than...
