The Brooks saddle is in good condition. I did apply the Brooks conditioner, which I can't remember the name, and it's looking better. The bike was built in 1973.

Unfortunately the bug spray may have penetrated the leather. Not sure what you can use to remove the spots. I'm thinking If you had used proofide prior to the bug spray, it would have provided a coating and may not penetrated, but I'm sure this is not what you want to hear. Let us know if...

Love chrome bikes. Picked this one up last year from CL for $25. Took it apart and now working on rebuilding it. Put some 1.75 tires on just to ride it around. I ordered some 1 3/8 road tires for it. Cleaned up and shined the fenders and chainguard. Just don't have the time right now...
