    So this is a first!

I only bought a few of the bikes because he got really strange about the whole deal. He wouldn't sell any of the parts either. Basically he said it was all or nothing. For the price, I passed for now but I am going to let it stew for a while....

    New material

Can anyone ID the date of manufacture of these two bikes? Roadmaster... Looks like it's a Cleveland Welding frame. Huffy.....

    New material

I am not really sure of the value. I thought I might try to get it fixed up and ridable and see if I can get around $100 to $135. I am not really sure if that's an inflated price or if it's too low but I think it's a pretty decent bike under all of the dust & dirt. If anyone else has any...

    New material

Well I was out looking at them today and I realized that the Roadmaster is a 24" not a 26". Is there any interest in 24" bikes?

    New material

Well, I drove back to the guys place that had the bikes & parts that my wife said it was ok to buy. Unfortunately, I didn't see the value in buying all of it for his asking price. I tried to buy some of the parts but he wouldn't sell any because he said he uses them to fix other bikes. He would...

(MBBO Class 1) "The Judge 5": Closing argument.

Thanx... I have a 5 LB container (a lot) of oxalic acid that I use for cleaning rusty, old beer cans. Now I have another use...

    So this is a first!

After work today I made a side trip to look at a few bikes a guy has. He's an older guy that's been fixing bikes off and on for a number of years. He has a few bikes and parts that are a little interesting but nothing spectacular. He mentioned that he was willing to sell it all off for X dollars...

Just curious... how does or doesn't the oxalic acid effect the chrome?

    Sell a Bike to Girlfriend

Looks like the answer is pretty obvious... Give her the bike but don't give her anything you can't afford to lose or will regret if she takes off with it.

    Twelve years of neglect....

I recently joined this group but I've been a bike collector and hobbyist for years. I started building a 20" custom chopper style bike around 12 years ago. Joining this forum prompted me to dig out the build that I started but never finished. I guess I am going to have to do something with it...

    Silver King Hex Tube build

Years ago I found a SK hex head (incomplete) in a barn but the owner wouldn't sell it. I would imagine that it's probably still there. Your build makes me want to make the hour and a half trip back to see if it's still there and see if he's ready to sell...

(MBBO Class2) "Mad Scientist @ Work"

I'd design and weld in a double gusset that matches the shape of the frame opening there. It'll give the support a little more flair than the tube...

    Show us them cars!

In NC, where I bought the Hornet. Oh yeah, it's not "just a Hornet", it's a 71 SC/360 Hornet, factory 360, 4 speed with functional ram air. One of 784 built...

New here... I am 54. I own a few Raleigh Choppers, RRB has prompted me to dig out a custom 20" that I started building about 20 years ago. When I drg it home from my step daughter's place I'll post some pix...
