Do they make an actual 22mm seatpost?

Yes very strong, and I would guess as well it being a homemade frame.

Do they make an actual 22mm seatpost?

Genius! Why didn't I think of that? I was too wrapped up in trying to decide on where and how to make a new post. I think I may have to go this route. Thanks. :D

Do they make an actual 22mm seatpost?

The very first 3/4 of the seatpost tube takes a 7/8" or a 22mm, but after that, it is very tight to a point of no more movement. I even have taken a hone that is used to hone out old school auto drum brake cylinders, and honed out the seatpost tube to no avail.

Do they make an actual 22mm seatpost?

Well since you asked, here is the unidentifiable beast I am trying to fit a seatpost to. I have posted this here before, and no one on any BMX site is able to ID it:

Do they make an actual 22mm seatpost?

I am having a hard time finding a 22mm seatpost. Here is my dilemma: I found an old school 26" BMX frame, that was obviously custom made in the late 70's/early 80's. The seatpost tube measures exactly 22mm. Here are the seatpost diameters that do not fit- 22.2mm, 7/8", and 13/16". What I...

    WELCOME TO PORKCHOP BMX!

Justin is the best bright light to come into the BMX restoration world. He has helped so many of us bring back our BITD rides. Be it a full on show bike or a beater rider. I am proud to say that I first met Justin a couple of years ago swapping Schwinn BMX's via Craigslist. So, he certainly...

    Led-Sled Sidecar Project

Wow...I started looking at the first page, noted the 15+ pages, and said Nah, I will not read this whole thing. Holy smokes- this is awesome and inspirational! Thanks for the awesome job.

    Tennessee Klunk

Awesome Klunkers. Here is what I am going to use on my 26" BMX old school for V brake mounts. These are currently hand made in Georgia, and used for modern BMX racing bikes.

Who knows about 26" UKAI rims?

Been there and looked at their wheels. The strange thing is the UKAI font/lettering. Completely different than what I know of UKAI and have seen.

Who knows about 26" UKAI rims?

These are 26" UKAIs. They seem to be late 79/early 80 rims, based on the bike they came off of. Any idea if UKAI actually used this font/lettering in their early days?

What 26" has a 3 bar design with horizontal dropouts?

These all look awesome. I gotta start looking out for these frames!

    question for/about kids????

...what BMXer Pete said. True, it is not wise to run brakeless for everyday riding and street cruising. But, when was the last time any of us took a musclebike, balloontire, or middleweight into the bowls? Anyone?...anyone?... With what these kids do in the skatebowls on bikes is an art...

What 26" has a 3 bar design with horizontal dropouts?

Pete- where is the best place on line to see what this frame looks like? Everything I find has the tank and fenders still on. Pretty hard to picture the frame alone.

What 26" has a 3 bar design with horizontal dropouts?

I will be looking into another project soon, and am wondering what 26" bikes from the 20's-50's, have a 3 bar design, and have horizontal dropouts (I have seen one with built in chain tensioners)? I am new to the old school ratrod scene, but have mainly dabbled in BMX, Musclebikes, and now...

Rollfast and Firestone ID and $ Q

My local bike shop got two bikes as trade ins, and asked me (since he knows I am into old school bikes- but mainly BMX), if I could help him with prices. I really do not know anything about old 26" cruiser stuff like this. Any ballpark ideas on what he should resell them for? He may put these...

    CL TACTICS

I have heard of people finding lowball deals and striking the deal with the owner. Once arrangements are made to pick up the bike at the deal listed, the prospect buyers flag the ad, to have it removed, so no one else highballs it. Dirty pool.

    26" ? BMX Cruiser ID

One more thing I noted from Ken Burleson on the making of the frame, it does not have a pass through hole for a bolt on the brake bridge. So I asked, how did they put brakes on this frame? He said they used the side pull brake with the post that bolted on the seatstays (wrapped around-...

    26" ? BMX Cruiser ID

More to the story...I am telling you, I need to be a friggin' private eye. I just spoke with Dugan Finnell, former owner of ESP. He just reconfirmed this 26" frame, was one of two he ordered to be made from Ken Burleson (Titan). This may be a keeper frame!

    26" ? BMX Cruiser ID

EUREKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I found out what this is- 100% guaranteed!!!!!!!:o:o:o:o The bike is one of 2- 26" frames made for ESP Bikes (Eddie Sigmund Products). ESP had a need for a bike racer that was big, and so Ken Burleson (Titan) made the two 26" frames. I personally spoke to Ken today...
