It wouldn’t be as hard as it looks. You could buy a cafe seat from Amazon, work up all of how to adapt it, then make a plug and build it yourself. It would take patience, but it could be done.

I would definitely say custom as a motorcycle seat is considerably wider. It would be much easier to make a new piece than try to rework an existing piece. They did a superb job.

I would say it’s a custom unit. It’s too small to have come from a motorcycle, unless it was reworked. My immediate guess is that someone is a composite bodyworks builder. I could post an “all you have to do is...” sentence, but that would absolutely SPOIL the beauty contained in this photo.

Fork is installed. The new one BELONGS and actually makes the stance better due to the longer legs. Disc brake front wheel is finished (not picked up). Hopefully my seat guts arrive today or tomorrow. A lot of little milestones today!!!

Yep- really tempted to sell my soul to the dark side on this OCC build. I have a perfect track stand from my Ducati days since I am without a kick stand. I will likely start with a left-side drive and end up with a jack shaft bike. I will likely use a drill to start my bike. Or not. Who knows...

There are people selling that drum brake hub. The question is how many spokes are they putting in those front rims? As long as they are in the same multiples to half them (e.g. 16 spokes opposed to 32 spokes or 18 versus 36 spokes), 9/10 mechanics could build that wheel; a few can figure out how...

Want your saddle waterproof? Go to a sports shoppe, grab a little Sno Seal and go to town. It darkens the leather a bit, but gives such a rich and supple look and if you’re caught in a rain storm, the saddle won’t care much. No weird ingredients, just beeswax and a few other emollients.
