It was running 26 x 1.95 -which were shoehorned on there very tightly, was a fight to get hem off - and the rims are very skinny - look more Like road rims to me

Got a 97 trek 6500 with skinny matrix guru wheels - they are only drilled to Accept presta valves - I want to switch to Schrader valves - can they be drilled out ?

just picked up a trek 6500 zx- original owner purchesed new in 1996 - but the color is a burgandy ( dark red) - i can find no reference to this color in trek catalogs in the 1990's - any help here ?? also trying to figure out the year it was made - my guess was 1995-1996 - original owner bought...

if ya'll think it aint gonna run and gun like this , suggestions on a new crank set up ? whats the current opinions on the altus set -up ?? i plan on local , light to medium trail riding on well groomed trails ( some paved even , but most dirt-track ) .... no road riding planned with this
