Thanks! I'm very happy too. People are asking me if I did some tensile testing... I said I'm trying it out on the track! There a race coming up in a few weeks. Maybe I'll take an extra stem just in case...

    Show us your Dogs/Cats/Pets

Our cat enjoys being outside. He never strays far or poops in other gardens (he doesnt make it to the other gardens). But sometimes he realizes there are bigger rats near the water than himself and then he pulls this face near the window: He's just a lovely little British shorthair cat.

Like I mentioned earlier, when I pedal or brake hard, I don't like the 'play' in the crankpin and the disc/sprockets hole. I already changed the pedal threads from 1/2" to 9/16" a while ago. I came up with an steel bush that I filed to fit the crankpin. It has a collar, so when the...

Finished the stem and very happy with the clamp-brazing! I disassembled the bike and removed the fork because factory stock, bikes have a few licks of grease compared what I like to use. Brand new in sale..... could not find a second hand one or utilize the milling machine so a brand new one...

It came off of a 'Philips' bicycle from the 60's? I got it out of the trash. Unfortunately I couldn't keep the frame. In the meanwhile I am thinking about the chainring: Will I utilize the power disc or use the stock 44t sprocket?

Hi guys! I found a great used Brooks C17 'carved' seat for this machine! And managed to prepare and braze the first connection of the stem. I will file/sand the brazed connection afterwards. I am still practicing the brazing/soldering, so feel free to comment on that. I might use...

Fillet brazing? Electro forging? Art? What am I looking at here?

Hi guys, I came across a bike standing in the bicycle shed at my employer. It looks like its professionally made and built. To be honest, I can't really criticize it, since choices were made, I'm learning in regards to brazing and tastes may vary. But I do have a few questions in regards to...

Good idea. Maybe, or I'll just leave it off. Or, cut it and fit afterwards. I'll think about it. In the meantime: Tomorrow I'll put this stem shaft in the lathe and turn it from 22,2 to 21mm, so it fits inside the seatpost. This type of seatpost bend near the seatclamp and I wanted it...

The cover is not made of steel, zinc maybe? I'll have to place it before brazing and don't know if it will stand the heat.

Awesome work, looking very good. Hmm, is that a high flange coasterbrake? Can I ask you Wizard: What tubing are you using? CroMo or mild steel (thick wall) or Reynolds, Columbus etcetera. I found out that most stock cruisers have mild steel thick wall tubing.

Those bars and stem are looking great and beefy, thank you for the inspiration sir! In the meanwhile I am drooling on this website, looking for 22,2mm tough clamps: https://framebuildersupply.com/
