It's still hanging on the wall in my workshop, never did get the leaks out of the air system and have since robbed the brake calipers for this build. I may yet finish that one after my woody tear drop travel trailer is done.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I've been in touch with an artist friend of mine to see about some pinstriping. You don't have to take a chance and order your kit from China like I did with my first one. I've had quite good service from Golden Motor.ca and Gary's a lot closer to home for us...

Hi All: I've been working on this one for a couple of months now and it's at the point where it's mostly just the electrical hookups, brake cables, front fender and a few other details, so I thought I'd post up some pics. My first e-bike was a cheap eBay kit that looked like this and I ran the...

Custom build 57 chevy lowrider bicycle

It needs some sort of overbuilt fork or a streamliner front fender. Amazing work, you should post some of your Chevelle work here somewhere too.

    no name so far

You've done an awesome job of cut/grind and recycling of old forks for rear chain stays, if you want to fix the flop and make this a great looking bike you will want to ride, pull out the grinder and chop off/reweld the head tube to fix the problem. I know it's a drag, but this is part of the...

    Modified worksman bobber

Looks great! Don't worry about a lack of comments, I think most people on this site would rather see a rusty old bike than some of the amazing work shown here.

...Wait, I'll box mine up for you....

    how much rake

Not to date myself but I'm pretty sure my friend Bryan had a (new) bike just like that when we were about 15 years old..... Is it just my eyes or is that fork bent back slightly just below the lower fork crown?

    Drift Trike Build

From a plumbing supplier, I'm running HDPE which is black (as you can see) and has a bit more grip than PVC. It costs about $175 for 20', you may be able to find some on Craig's List or similar.

Here's my scratch built one. Lots of fun on the hills.

    Electric fat bike walgoose

There are lots of hub motor kits out there, I've had a couple of Golden Motors 901 kits which are the most basic they sell. You can use a disc brake if you buy a disc and spin-on adapter from any of the online sources. You could contact Gary at GM Canada, I've had good success buying from him...

    The Leg Sled

A truly skillful build, your friend is an artist! Did you clear coat the raw metal or is it going to be painted later?

    Electric Girvin Basman

Welcome! Nice to see another ebike build going on here, not a common sight on RRB. Looking forward to seeing your progress. Mine is currently under the bikes with motors heading. Cheers

    The Trikes keep getting longer...

I assume your extra wheels will not be driven so they shouldn't scrub on corners. For the motor, you could mount a hub motor where the rear wheel used to be, then run the front chain to it and bolt a sprocket to the disc brake side of it and run that to your trike rear axle giving you a...

    Clean Ebike setup

LB: There appears to be 2 saddlebags and so likely has batteries in both. I have an ebike with a homemade frame and a big 20a/hr lifepo4 battery that is offset from centre and you'd never know from riding it, no pulling noted. I'm building a new frame for it now, I'll post pics once I have some...

    Clean Ebike setup

That's a great looking e-build. I don't see the controller, must be under the rear rack and covered by the bags. I think this is the first electric build I've seen here, mostly used to seeing the 2 stroke Chinese motors which are illegal here in BC Canada. I really like the look of the bags...

    Sweet & Low

Are you sure you don't just need more air pressure? You're likely going to need >200psi to raise the bike with you on it. You are going to need a 2000psi paintball tank with a pressure reducer, I think.

    Air Ride Bike

I used a manual switch from Clippard, but it's psi rating may not have been enough as I was always chasing air leaks and gave up in the end. Have been considering an electric actuator but have been involved in other projects this past couple of years. Alan

    Fun with curves

RichL: I know you can buy JD2 dies for tube and pipe, difference being tubing is measured by the outside diameter, pipe is measured by the inside diameter. I don't believe it has anything to do with the wall thickness, afterall 1.5" DOM tubing can have a 0.25" wall thickness but is still 1.5"...

    Fun with curves

Thanks for the die info. The JD2 dies come rated according to the centreline of the bend. I bought 5.5" radius which with 1" tube should give an inside radius of 4.25-4.5", so I think I've got the same set as you, just haven't had a chance to bend anything yet. I've been doing a lot of work on...
