I decided to get some of that light wrap that lets the light shine through. It's akin to that spray but it's .99/sheet, hahaha. I'm just going to wrap the lens in it and leave the light guts as is behind there. I think it will shine through there very nicely. Thanks for the suggestion, BTW.

I used the Murray Galaxy Flyer frame from which I removed the black parts mentioned above to build this side project yesterday. I used a pair of Worksman wheels I got from Chuck for a silky smooth ride. I love how this one turned out. This is obviously NOT my finished contest bike - The...

STILL waiting for my frame and other parts but gathering more essentials for the build. The kickstand, crank, and other black parts came from a build I put together a few years ago but never really liked. One of the Rat Rod stickers will go up under the chainguard to keep the all black theme going!

    Project Ed (DONE)

Hilariously, I saw a rock band named See Alice Run a few years ago. Think about that name and it will make you laugh. Your post made me think of them, lol.

BTW, the braces are going to be glossy and the rack itself flat black to match the frame, fenders, sprocket, fork and some other parts. If you picture it in your head along with me, the bulk of the bike will be flat black with alternating parts (seat, handlebars, crank, Spaceliner sprocket...

I bought this beautiful Spaceliner a few years ago at a Memory Lane swap for $100. As beautiful as it is, I don't believe some parts are original to this bike and the rack has been repainted. I have agonized over removing the rack from it and using it on my Hawkliner and also with permanently...

Multi-ColorFlow, Boba, Scribble's Rat-Flow. Part XVIV Finished For Real This Time I Swear

I love learning all these little ways to go about parts prep and other tricks from everyone on here. Very cool start to this ride. Love it.

    That is very cool!

I'm not sure what that is??

Just an update on parts acquisitions and painting as I'm still waiting to get my frame/fork/handlebars/sprocket/chainguard back from being powder coated. I can't decide between the Darth Vader and rocket valve caps but I'm leaning towards the Dark Side. I also found nicer guts for my front...

Blues Brothers Bike. Done in jail. BLUESSICAL

It needs a harmonica on there somewhere and it also needs one of those St. Christopher wrap around head badge thingies since you're on a mission from God.

That is bizarrely cool that you also have those same tires on your Spaceliner. I would say "what are the chances" but obviously better than I thought, lol.

Did you see the American flag grips on eBay? I've had those on my watch list for like 2 years. They are sweet!

Dude, I'm sorry....I bid some on that seat. If I had known a fellow builder was wanting that for the build-off I would have stayed away and saved you money, lol.

35-65 PSI. I am riding my first pair at 50 PSI and they are just the right amount of soft and hard at that pressure.

    The Hawkliner

Let me go look at them. I am thinking it's 65. I bought two pairs and just love these things. There are many guys on eBay selling them affordably but one guy sells them for $53-something for a pair shipped.

Thanks! I do love how it looks there on my wheels but I'm just not sure I want any white (or chrome or silver or any other colors or shades!) on this build. But, yeah, the tires just sitting there against the wall look exactly as I was hoping when I bought those Thickslick tires.

    The Hawkliner

I'm not 100% committed to these Thickslick tires since the initial idea was 100% black from road to grips. BUT, I'm thinking that every other thing on the bike black with just the white lettering on the tires may look amazing. I'll wait until I get my frame and other parts before making a final...
