    Winter build off?

Looks nice....but no pedals. That engine came on a bike that I got at a garage sale. It didn't run. But with the help of the interweb, I was able to figure out that it has bad ignition components. They cost around $15. Need to get them ordered today. I picked that mixte frame to put it in...

    Winter build off?

Was really thinking Gas Ladies Off-Road Muscle Bike build off. Now that was just set in there to see if it would fit. So the build hasn't actually started yet. Not trying to skirt the rules, if there are any.

    Winter build off?

I'm game. Off-road build off, E-bike build off, Gas bike build off, Road bike build off, Green bike build off, red bike build off, black bike build off, no paint build off, muscle bike buildoff, girls bike build off. I could make something work for any of these.

    1968 Schwinn Sting Ray

I seen some rust colored paint you could cover that purple with to spruce it up....

[Build idea] 1941 Hiawatha...... 10 Speed?

No matter which way you go, 10-speed geared or IGH, you'll have to spread the dropouts a little or a lot. With the exception of the 3-speed freewheel, which I believe will fit in the normal 110mm space. My 4-speed with coaster brake was 135 I believe. Others have said 120, but maybe freewheel...

    Teeth of the Hydra

Definitely one of my favorite builds here. Pure and simple. Gives me inspiration for a similar sized Hardrock frame. I have the same stem in black(with not nearly as nice moto bars) Same forks. A freewheel 3 speed. And some silver paint:(

As seen in a shop window :(.

At least it's on public display where others and yourself could see it in person, and not stowed away in someone's garage or warehouse.

[Build idea] 1941 Hiawatha...... 10 Speed?

It's certainly understandable to use what you have. And the aesthetics and plasticity of the grip shifters don't have much charm. I just got lucky and found a couple of lightly used, inexpensive women's bikes with nice Nexus-4 and Nexus-8 wheelsets in the past few months. Might've just got...

    Post Your Final Thoughts

Already picked out this rusty faded yellow mystery bike for next summers build off. It's top secret. So this is all I can reveal for now. Gonna just let it marinate for another 9 months for optimum ratrustification.

[Build idea] 1941 Hiawatha...... 10 Speed?

If that's the way you want it, I'm sure it's been done. But I'd look for a wheelset with an internal gear hub. Cause I just hate deraileurs. And an IGH is a super simple add-on. Though rumored to not be as rugged for serious off-roading. Although I do catch myself looking at some of the newer...

    How many is too many?

That's quite a collection. And I know you have a lot of really cool bikes! Nice riders.

What is the hardest part for you too find?

A frame worth putting a lot into. And one with the geometry I prefer for riding. The banana seat, or some homemade variation of one, seems to be a viable option for simulating a longer top tube and a modern foot forward design without getting a foot into the front tire. But then gotta rig up...

    How many is too many?

Here's the 5 or 6 that are riders or headed that way. The rest I keep scattered in smaller groups in various locations so it won't look like so many:doh::giggle:

    The Wonky Donkey

I got one of those labeled as Schwinn Delight. Bought it for the acorn nuts, stem, and caliper brakes, and maybe the bars and bearings and front sprocket. Never thought about building it. But maybe. Looking at it again, it's a little different. But very similar.

    Post Your Final Thoughts

Took me two months to get the frame painted. And I got a late start. So the extra month really helped me. Couldn't really decide what the bike needed until I got it rolling. Glad I got it outfitted with the Brooks saddle. Which I would've never even thought of without the wisdom of the...

    Motobike Primary Color Poll

For that frame... I could go black, dark forest green, raw metal. Or if something really shiny, a deep sea midnight blue metallic.
