The washer in my application would have worked fine un-welded but I didn't want to risk it popping through once i tightened it down and it just looks cleaner. You do have to crank it down pretty tight to keep it from spinning. I'm sure you could find or make a pretty thick steel washer in a 1"...

FIN. Have to tighten down the rear hub and take it for a test ride. Should go well. Came out beautiful. Ill take some good pictures tomorrow, hopefully the weather stays nice.

And some mock up. one piece crank. still need to find some pedals and grips. used aircraft stripper on the stem cap and scotchbrite polished it and came out clean as a whistle. Saddle i got for $2 at a swap meet fits the build and how it looks on the post. I'll move it up before the test ride

Thanks guys. Still have a few things to take car of on this one. Different bars maybe. And have a few things in mind for winter build off, sourcing parts now!

Things i was missing to complete the build were grips, a seat, spray upholstery adhesive and stainless tank hardware. Scrambled and picked all of those things up Friday after work from 3-4:30 pm. Ride starts at 7pm... Well i didn't finish UNTIL 6:58PM!!! lol. Still made it in time from my home...

The tubing i used had a pretty nice wall thickness and was sturdy after all of the welding and i did brace it up some more to take away the sway on the lower stays. Its rock solid. ;) It does look rather thin in comparison to the 1,5" OD tube i used up front though lol. Ehh its all i had left.

Then spent Thursday night doing tear down and fully welding and knocking off slag and stripping the rest of the paint and sanding and finally paint. I used flat and semi gloss paint so I even began to assemble around midnight after i cut out the tanks and took it home to finish before the ride...
