    We want the Klunk

Fixed the headset! Note to self, just because the headset cups look the same, doesn't mean they're interchangeable.:headbang: Also, a new addition...

    We want the Klunk

Managed some work on the bike over the three day weekend. Ran the brake cable, Installed the bottom bracket, chain and rear brake strap, Touched up the paint, and took it for a test ride. Well the headset is screwy and needs to be rebuilt, and there is a couple of other plans to try, but I...

    We want the Klunk

I threw some parts on the bike before work and tried to get a good shot of the bed liner.

    We want the Klunk

While it might be too heavy for a racing bike, on a heavy steel cruiser frame with a heavy steel fork and heavy steel cranks, and let's not forget the 200 lb rider, I don't think it amounts to much. On the plus side, it is tough, and the wrinkle finish hides a multitude of sins...

    We want the Klunk

Thanks for the positive comments, I have been gathering parts for a long time and the build off is just the thing to spur me into action. Well before the paint is dry enough, I put the headset and wheels on to make the bike easier to store until the next time I can work on it. and another...

    We want the Klunk

Just had enough time to blow the bike apart for paint. And by paint, I mean bed liner, Everywhere...

    We want the Klunk

Due to a lack of ability, I dropped the idea for disc brakes on both ends and laced a matching rim with a coaster brake, and changed up the crankset to a bmx 3 piece one.

    We want the Klunk

Well I was walking past a dumpster and a poor bike was calling me to save it! Well some of it's parts at any rate... Hmmm..... A new fork from Bicycledesigner.com and we have disc brakes on the front of the bike! Also some motorcross bars and a Nitto bmx stem from my stash...

    We want the Klunk

Well the cheap fork and the chainring weren't straight, and the chain I was going to use was no good, so I tried some other parts. The seatpost is an aluminum rod and the seat from Nashbar. New chainring, wheels and classic fork made me a roller! Only this fork is tweaked as well! Old and new...

    We want the Klunk

Well this will be my third build off, hopefully the first that I finish. This will be made out of parts that I have gathered over the last couple of years, sharp eyed people will notice parts that I bought from the forum! Most of the parts were bought with the idea of making a bomber/klunk of...

    26" Muscle Bike, BMX Conversion

Looks nice and I like the inspiration, but I keep thinking that the wheels are larger than 26", maybe 28" or 700c?

So how is that rear brake working?

    Road Rocket

Verra' Nice. I don't usually like stretched frames, but the proportions of this one are spot on.

    Straight 8 xtracycle?

Very Nice! I feel the feet forward stance of the Electra line look great with the Xtracycle, I have have a woman's Townie/Xtracycle conversion that looks and rides great. Now you need to replace the rear deck with a long skate board....

Evolution of a Cruiser, here I go again.

Bump, bump. Well the fork rebuild kit never came, I found a rigid fork and had fun with the bike as a classic klunker. Lately I have been hankering for some fat wheels, so a couple of trades later, I have a set of 24" 3G wheels and Felt Berm Masters. Some fiddiling later I manage to mount them...
