Behind the Eight Ball (Name Change)

Re: Tank Thanks. I have seen them on ebay from Taiwan as well. They weren't originally orange, but red. By the time I got them, they had faded to orange.

Re: Tank They are not for sale, sorry. I got mine used from an employee of my LBS. However, they are available on ebay, http://cgi.ebay.com/26-Mountain-Bike-Mag-Wheels-White-pair-6-spoke-Disc-/330436347574?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item4cef8a86b6

Re: Tank They said it couldn't be done! They said it shouldn't be done! I'll show them, I'll show them all, Bwah Ha Ha!!! Ahem, excuse me. My attempt to use a 1 1/8th inch steer tube suspension fork in a cruiser frame meant for a 1 inch steer tube fork. Drive side; Brake side; 3/4 view...

Re: Tank Look at what came in the mail Tuesday! Did a quick lunch run home to see how it looks. On the stand; and on the ground. Maybe US Choppers should sponsor this build....

Behind the Eight Ball (Name Change)

Re: Tank I want to bring the bike back to it's urban warrior, fixed gear roots. I would also like a front disc brake, because I like torturing myself. I was planing on using a disc brake wheel I have until I realized that it uses a four bolt brake disc, crap! :x Plan B, use the front mag wheel...

Well once again I am going to throw my hat in the ring, maybe I will finish for once. The frame is a black Schwinn, year unknown, found by the railroad tracks with only a bent fork. Since then, it has been a fixed gear cruiser; A 6 speed XtraCycle cargo bike; A homemade fixed gear cargo...

    Tandem For Tandem Night

Love this bike. The only (inexpensive) tandems around here are Schwinn twins and the like, yours looks like a English make with a much better frame.

    suspension fork upgrade

Has anybody managed to fit a 1 1/8th inch fork into a 1 inch frame? The fork I bought from EBay was mislabeled and I might be stuck with it. :( I know that it is trying to fit a 10 pound turkey in a 5 pound bag, but if I can find the right size bearings it might work.

Google "tire paint" or "tire paint pen", that is how I found it.

    SUV aka WinterFixie

I'm sorry but you exceed the maximum fat tire coolness allowed on this website. If you pack up the bike and send it to me I might be willing to look the other way. :D :D :D :D :D Wow, I am impressed. I have wanted to do something similar for a while now and the cost of the wheels/tires...

    Pre-War Hiawatha w/ Skyway Mags & Fatti-O's

Question, what did you do for brakes? The 24's don't have a coaster brake option and normal calipers won't reach the rims with 3" tires on.

"Fix This" - FINALLY FINISHED 9/8 - New Pics

Re: Remember my "Fix This" Bike?? Check this out Kreep, I see two cables coming from the lever on the frame. One goes to a caliper brake on the rear wheel, but where does the other go? It seems to go to the rear hub, is there a drum brake there? Must be fun to grab a handfull of brake in...

    Hokum-Pokum....

Wow, I am just blown away with the craftmanship and detail on this (and other) builds in RRBBO3. It is really inspiring me to learn how to braze/weld. However I think the next build off will have to be a little more basic so I can compete :) . I can't wait to see how this will turn out. Were...

Re: Remember my "Fix This" Bike?? Check this out Ummm, isn't that a "high" geared bike? Other than that, looks cool.

    HAZAREA

They are Sweetskinz, just Google it and check out the crazy tires they make. Good quality, crazy colors and patterns and did I mention they are reflective? The white parts on my tires are actually black normally. A little pricey though.
