Thanks! The Olds belongs to a high school kid that works at the local market.

That takes skill and talent, which we all know I have neither.

Here's what it is: 1958 JC Higgins, Dana 3 speed, 57mm wheels, Kenda Kraze tires, "Hurst" shifter side mounted for the muscle car feel, gold grips to go with a Hurst car since they all had hold on them, Olds taillights and badge. Nothing fancy.....

If it's "disqualified" is no big deal. I had fun with it.

I was done with it long before I posted that. I got some dinner and got cleaned up first. I got off work at 6, picked up Aaron at 7, went to Walmart for a chain, took it home, put it on, showered, ate dinner and stared at it before posting. I had it done before watching American Ninja Warrior.

It's done and can be. Nothing is ever as easy as it seems it'll be. Compromises had to be made to make the deadline. I'm doing pics with a special "back drop" tomorrow evening, so I won't be starting my thread in the Finished section until after the pics are done. See you on the other side!!

Got the shifter mounted and cables run. Nothing fancy. Played with some pinstriping too. Pics tomorrow!! Just need to pick up a chain for it, mount the lights and give it a good once-over....then I'm calling it done! Simple build this year!!

I found some Columbia info online. Looks like they offered quite a few different options and accessories

Nice idea, but by the time I'd get it done, 'ol Hef will be probably be gone....

For now, it's going into storage until some other projects are finished. Then......whenever that'll be, I'll probably just try to clean it up as much as possible and get it close to orig condition. I don't plan on keeping it. I just bought it so it wouldn't get scrapped.

Close-up of the seat: And too bad the tires aren't in better shape. They're the originals!

Same here. That's what caught my eye.

Doing some looking around the WWW, it looks like it has the seat and sissy bar on it from a 1969 Super 88 . Other than that, it's original.

Just picked this up from a local yard sale.....Columbia Playboy 88 Never heard of or seen one before. Too cool to pass up! Anyone educate me on it/them? Seat doesn't look original but I'm diggin' the layback sissybar!!
