Found this supposedly from a 1936 Rollfast catalog. Has the same chain guard and truss bracket on the neck, but I don't have the "arms" sticking out from the fork for truss rods:

Okay. I would have never thought of those two things. I was going to soak it in a container of PB/WD for awhile and see where that gets me. Then I was going to soak it in some good oil for awhile. I want to clean off as much rust as I can.

Definitely swapping out the hoops for something wider and newer. I'm not keeping the saddle, chain guard, wheel hoops, and possibly the crank & hub if I can't get it to work the way I want.

I thought about that. I'm hoping to keep the skip tooth chain drive on it, but if someone really wanted this setup, I don't HAVE to use it.

What's the best way to restore a rusty chain, if possible? I want to reuse the skip-tooth driveline on the '37 Rollfast when I get new rims for it.

Found the serial number. Sanded off the old house paint and found a dark red orig paint:

My goal is to remove the rust and grime and leave the orig paint, regardless of what condition it's in.

So I'm trying to scrub the rust and grime off the frame to reveal as much of the original paint as possible. I'm going through SOS pads like crazy and it's not coming off all that easily. I pre-soaked the frame in PB for about 2 weeks before starting this. Is there a better way to scrub off...
