    Triple Threat Trifecta

Trifecta. Renegade, Mixed up Mixte and The Breeze. Not my original intention. It just sort of happened that way.

    Junk

It's all relative. Frames like that are not real common where I am, so if one became available locally, I would definately be interested and I always think that I can fix it. lol..

    Loose on Tucson

I'm diggin the clean, uncluttered look and I have a thing for pumps.

    Mixed up Mixte

It was hard to choose which bar to go with since each one had merit.

    Canadian-Italian skinny rust bucket save

From the info available on the net, I think it is probably eariy 80s.

    Renegade

I thought a chopper style suicide shifter might be appropriate for this build. I mounted a thumb shifter on the seat tube. I spread the clamp enough to fit on the seat tube and installed a longer curved bolt with nut. Its not real elegant, but it works my mind is already trying to figure a...

Does this Mercier have any value?

Mixtes are gaining in popularity in North America as the population matures. In Europe they are commonly considered as being non-gender specific and are basic transportation for all ages. Here in Canada, now that the bicycle shortage has mostly ended, I think that I could get about the...

    Canadian-Italian skinny rust bucket save

Ya, that's what I'm talking about. I stumbled upon a Benotto that was grouped in a pile of $10 bikes that I guy in a neighboring town was clearing out. I bought 10 bikes that day and he gave me one more as a bonus. He felt that these were the low end of his collection. There were a couple of...

I'm leaning in this direction, but its not definit yet.

Yes, that's a consideration. I like that look.

    Mixed up Mixte

Ha ha Matti that was my first choice and I installed them last night with the rest of the cockplt to see if I liked it. I will post a photo shortly.

    Alfa Laughter

I live in the mountainous Canadian west and my ancesters lived in Scandinavia. I have been shoveling snow about every other day for a month now and sometimes I imagine how they would laugh if they could hear me complain about the snow and cold. I don't think I would do very well in a climatic...

    Canadian-Italian skinny rust bucket save

Looking good. I saw a Marinoni at a swap meet with a price tag of $1000 and I am glad that I didn't like the color scheme on it. It was a strange salmon pink color. I keep an eye out for one, and just maybe a suitable one will show up in my modest price range.

Trying on different bars that I have on hand. I think I have a favorit, but not absolutely sure. Input welcome as always. first the dropbars.next the Nitto B206 Sweepstouring barswide, low rise barsor 5.5" risersI'm always amazed at how the shape of the bars influences the look of the bike.

    Renegade

I am in agreement with the majority of the members that expressed an oplnion about the bars and installed the 11.5" apes. While I was at it I installed a brake lever and grips and accessories. The setup offers me a natural feeling reach and I would like to take it for a spin, but our roads are...

    The Breeze

Thanks for the complimentary feedback. Your first clone looks really good. I can appreciate how much work it can be to modify the drop outs to track style. I guess it boils down to how much time you want to spend on it and how closely you intend to replicate the original. I have daydreamed about...

    Project "Firebolt" life after BO

My initial color choice for the rims would be white, but, the red gives it a hot rod vibe and that"s what I would choose . That bike looks fantastic. I'm inspired.
