I always liked and wanted one of thos old school style scooters. I've had an idea kicking in my head since I was in middle school to build a gas powered scooter from a bike frame and at least keep the 26" wheel on the back. I had concerns of ride hieght and length. Check out this scooter build

Never heard of that. I was thinking hub motors, those don't work quite right sharing one controller. They either don't sinc up, or one almost acts like a generator. I have a bike frame I want to put two hub drives on.

It looks like, at least in Canada that Walmart is selling new klunkers. This guy always does cheap bike challenges with walmart bikes and I'm pretty impressed. I'd definatly want one in black or red.

you could probably use two, with two controllers and one throttle.

The ashtabula style 3pc cranks fit ashtabula sprokets. True bmx 3pc cranks and conversions don't. I explained this in a youtube video. There are these adapter/spacer things to use ashtabula sprokets with regular 3pc sprokets. The axle diameter is bigger on ashtabula cranks.

Sell it as an adult Stingray, somebody will pay far, far more than what they're worth. Nah, I'd trick it out, though.

Good thing is your average spray paint is acrylic, so it doesn't stick very well to the factory paint... just takes forever to come off on it's own.
