    Next Project: First Mockup

Thanks! I had thought of that, but the skip tooth chain I have is not nearly long enough. I do like the idea of the right drive though and 2 chains. It depends on how my bb lines up with the rear...sometimes, I think the long lines of the chain add to the overall look of the bike.

    Next Project: First Mockup

I've had this project on my mind since last spring. It started when I got an old Columbia ladies bike from a buddy. It was basically half destroyed because his dad backed his semi over it, but the front half was good. I cut off what was bent and started looking at what was good...it looked good...

Firestone 500...not a build, just some tweaking

FINALLY got the rear tire mounted! Took half the time with the new stand! Had to move the tire way down in the dropouts to clear the fender! need to shorten the chain now a bit! I don't remember these tires being a problem on the Oriole...it's the identical frame and fenders, just painted...

Firestone 500...not a build, just some tweaking

Yeah, the tread looks pretty much the same too. I have to play with the fender a bit to try to minimize the rubbing...they REALLY fill them out! lol

Firestone 500...not a build, just some tweaking

Been slow going on this project with school and all...got a repair stand now so that might help speed things up :D $35 shipped on ebay! Got a whitewall on the front, figured I'd wait for the stand to arrive before I do the rear. Added a different seat too.

I think that fork looks awesome as is! It just looks right, especially with the blue on the tank. I also like how it stands out from the red on the fender...great looking build!

Got my stem in the mail today... Put it and the seat post I made on it. Here's a profile shot before (for reference), and after: Seat looks a bit tipped forward in the "after" pic, but when I sit down, it levels out. I think it was just what it needed! Next...the tires

Wow! Your's is in awesome shape! I was bored at work and googled the bike and was checking out that same pic yesterday. Lol. The tires I bought are even the same style your's. That was the pic that cemented the whitewalls in my mind.

Firestone 500...not a build, just some tweaking

Picked this bike up from a Pawn shop last fall. It is pretty awesome! But, I can't leave well enough alone...so, a few changes: That oh-so-sweet seatcover had to go. Somebody named "MICHEAL L." decided his name needed to adorn the faded seat beneath (sorry no BEFORE pic), so, I renewed it a...

    Ratty jet bike. DONE 1/20

Re: Ratty jet bike. Now were cookin' *pics* 1/10 Here's my two cents on what's missing (for what it's worth)...a nice bullet style or oversized headlight mounted inline with the tank right between the upper rods on that bad, bad springer...AWESOME BUILD!

    Old Glory

Great bike! I have to vent a little here... What the heck is up with people painting blue bikes red?? every time I find a bike or a part that's red, I start digging in and it's ALWAYS blue underneath! lol

Thanks. It was a cool bike. I sold it last summer to a guy that had one when he was a kid. Then, I replaced it with this roadmaster: Then, I sold that to the same guy. Then, I replaced it with this Firestone: I plan on keeping this one...for now...

It's a belt buckle...i've been quite a fan of buckles for a long time. I love the detail they get in them now! This one blew me away! It was like it was made for the bike.
